Dean Village Cottage

Fantastic location, very homely and clean

Pros: The cottage was lovely, very clean and had everything you needed, right by the river it was lovely,

Cons: The sofa it needs an upgrade, that is my only gripe about this beautiful place

Pros: A unique apartment in a UNESCO house in a UNESCO district – Dean Village. Only one quiet neighbor next door, a permanent resident. The apt is as shown in the pictures – nice, comfortable, well equipped in household and cooking utensils, numerous tableware, cutlery, pots and STUNNING views from the windows. It was quite cold in Edinburgh, but there is central heating in the apt, so no worries. Shopping - no problem, basic shops in nearby (20 minutes on foot) Princess Street. Very good communication with the hosts, immediate response to all questions and querries.

Cons: However, some improvement is necessary, e.eg. a sofa which needs new cushions or TV which is quite difficult to set. Also, thick, dark curtains would be a good idea, especially from the entrance side.

Pros: Our stay at Dean Village Cottage was amazing!✨️ The staff was very kind, available and responsive at all time😃 The apartment is wonderful, clean with great amenities and very well located! Highly recommended accomodation in a calm and very cute neighbourhood close to the centre! We had an incredible stay there!

Pros: Great location- easy walking distance of everywhere.

Cons: The king size bed was appreciated but the mattress wasn’t so good, you can feel the springs! The steps down to the property got very slippy in the rain. The steps are mentioned in the description but they are REALLY not suitable for anyone with even a little bit of restricted mobility. We were OK but think the warnings could be more emphatic.

Pros: Emplacement parfait, appartement très bien équipé avec tout ce qu'il faut pour la cuisine, la salle de bain (sèche cheveux, gel douche restant, serviettes...) et lit fait. Les fenêtres sont en simple vitrage, comme partout a Edimbourg, mais ça nous permet d'être bercé par la rivière juste en dessous et l'appartement est tres bien chauffé, donc très confortable ! A 10min a pied de princes street ou rose street ou il y a plein de pub, l'emplacement est vraiment idéal en plus d'être bien au calme ! Les photos sont exactement comme en vrai

Heel mooi plekje voor een weekje edinburgh

Pros: De locatie was echt top. We hadden genoeg plek en ook een geweldig uitzicht. We konden gemakkelijk naar het centrum lopen en ook de verbinding met het OV was erg gemakkelijk. We konden zo de bus pakken na minder dan 10 minuten lopen.

Cons: De bank was een beetje stug en de keuken is wat klein. Misschien was een extra kastje in de badkamer fijn geweest om onze spullen zoals tandenborstels makkelijker neer te zetten. Maar verder was het erg goed.

Pros: Heerlijke douche en schoon, goed bed, uitzicht en locatie top! Voor 4 dagen stedentrip prima appartement.

Cons: Keuken wat raar ingedeeld, maar die hebben wij niet gebruikt.

Fantastisch verblijf, we komen zeker terug!

Pros: De ligging was perfect en we hadden alles wat we nodig hadden.

Cons: Het bed was iets minder, we zakten nogal weg in de toplaag.

Pros: Beautiful location, well kept property with exceptionally clear instructions for arrival. It is a must for anyone that appreciates history or gorgeous views, if you can splurge for a few nights.

Cons: The sofa is a bit dated so there are springs that poke you in the back if you are not careful. Just look for the holes in the upholstery. There are no real instructions (that I saw) for the television, but I wasn’t there to watch tv :). The footpath could be better lit at night, and since the living room curtains don’t block light- the very bright exterior light shines through a lot.
