Palmerston Suites

Pros: The apartment is well located. It was comfortable and clean. Shower pressure was good which sometimes is difficult to find. We stayed for two nights and our towels were changed/bed was made. We were able to leave our bags after checking out to fully enjoy our last day in Edinburgh.

Cons: Although it appeared to be located in a quiet area, it was actually a busy road. I woke up a few times with noise (cars, music, people talking). The kitchen is very, very small. It's okay to store food/prepare a simple breakfast but that's it. You can't really eat at the kitchen - there is no table - so you have to eat in the bedroom/on the sofa. There is a small table there. The shower is also very small. You can't detach the shower from the wall which can be inconvenient when washing long hair, for instance.

Nice stay small issues but nothing too major.

Pros: Location was nice short walk to centre, the bed was comfy and the shower was powerful just needs work on the dusting the extractor fans and beside fan were caked in dust everyone was having reactions to it. But overall we liked the stay and feel it was worth the money.

Cons: Lot of dusting needed on top of door frames and in the extractor fans and the bedside fan. If that was done it would be really nice.

Great location don’t want to say too much as we will be using again

Pros: Perfect location for murrayfield or city centre and train station

Cons: Nothing ideal twin room for my son and I who came for the rugby

Pros: Very clean and well-maintained hotel, with excellent service. The rooms are spotless and everything is well organised. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Pros: Nice bedroom with well maintained toilets. Small and convenient kitchen with good storage.

Cons: Ongoing maintenance nearby my room bit noisy in the morning and evening.

Amazing experience in their double room

Pros: I loved their En-suite double bed with kitchen. It was a great studio room

Cons: The washroom door didn't shut close properly, so you can imagine how bad the room would smell after taking a dump. I had to open windows... Also, the exhaust fan of the washroom didn't work either. Fix those and it's a perfect place to live in, perfect location.

Lovely place to stay

Pros: Lovely room, had more than expected (kitchen,good position of plug sockets) well presented and clean.

Cons: The wardrobe could have been done with fixing to the wall, the room next was loud, the plumbing, and the toilet was loud when they were used. Was loud and would wake you up otherwise all good

Very cost effective base for exploring Edinburgh.

Pros: The room was warm and the bed was very comfortable. Shower room was clean and tidy. High ceiling made the room feel bigger and it had a good outlook onto the street. The kitchen was fine for making breakfast or a light meal, with a 2 ring hob, toaster, fridge + kettle. Location near the Village of Dean and the gallery of modern art was good, and access to buses or the tram was nearby.

Cons: A lot of stairs + no lift No table (apart from low coffee table) in the room. Not much space.

Brilliant value for money

Pros: Great price for what’s available. Good location and would definitley return.

Cons: Not a downside for January but the room we stayed in was so hot that we had 2 fans on the go all night!
