JOIVY at VITA Fountainbridge - Adults only - Breakfast buffet

Pros: Was not clear it was student accommodation but pleasantly surprised by amenities, quality, cleanliness, etc. Loved having a fridge and kitchen sink. Having a breakfast was a bonus. Generally good quality selection for being continental.

Cons: Huge queue for single coffee making machine. Even if had a separate hot water station would have helped with teas and instant coffee options. Machine broken first time too, so queued for nothing. Staff not checking. Also, fruit juice only apple but not good quality. Need orange option. Eating area was cold.

A good value for money place to stay, walking distance from central Edinburgh.

Pros: Student accommodation has gone up market since my day! This is a comfortable place to stay in close proximity to central Edinburgh.

Cons: They needed more coffee machines as the queue was very long at breakfast.

A good choice while The Festival is on

Pros: Comfortable, spacious room. All you could need for a short stop in Edinburgh, The public areas were extensive and a good place to relax. The breakfast buffet was much better than we had expected.

Cons: All good

Pros: Fairly good location - a lot of restaurants around, about 20 minutes walk from Princess street and the Royal Mile. The hotel and room were very clean, there is an elevator. Breakfast was good.

Cons: Every morning there is a long queue to get coffee/tea, another machine would solve that. Other than that everything was good...

Pros: Excellent value. Clean, great staff. Great breakfast.

Cons: It was a 25min walk to the centre and train but the walk was good for us.

Pros: Located in a well-served area, close to restaurants, café and bus stops, just a 15 minutes walk from Princes Street. The room was clean and well equipped.

Great stay

Pros: Everything was great, the location is fantastic. We thought the staff were super friendly and accommodating, you can store your luggage before checking in and after checking out if needed. The room was big and cozy.

Exceeded expectations!

Pros: I really liked the location, central enough to be close to main sights but also not too busy. Nice bakeries, restaurants and shops around. The staff was very nice, I felt very welcome and we enjoyed the facilities. We had a really nice view of the castle and Arthur's seat.

Cons: Just few small things. Bit odd that the room had some tea bags and coffee, but there is no kettle (however you can get hot water/coffee from machine downstairs). There was a small kitchen but no pans, etc. to cook something.

Great location ,super view from sixth floor room of Edinburgh castle

Pros: Location by the canal was excellent . Not far to walk into city centre or Haymarket station

Cons: Site said room would be cleaned and fresh towels provided on 3rd day . We stayed 3 nights , 4 days so be warned you need to stay 4 nights , 5 days before any housekeeping happens.
