Lovely relaxing two night stay!

The location is amazing, super secluded and beautiful! The lodge itself is spacious and comfortable with lots of places

Pros: Loved the location and facilities, kitchen was lovely, shower was hot, hot tub was perfect! It was also perfect to see the stars at night!

Cons: My only complaint was the heating, we stayed and it was below 0° our entire stay so the heating was struggling to keep up with the cold temperatures, furthermore the insides of the couch, between the cushions and arm of the sofa was very dirty, however, i’m 100% sure that bringing this to their attention will completely fix this issue!

Lovely starry night stay

Pros: We loved the Jacuzzi under the stars, it was a beautiful clear night and we could see every star in the sky. The lodge was warm and cozy and the bed comfortable and clean. Peaceful and quiet location, able to relax undisturbed. Lots of amenities included washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, microwave etc. tea, coffee, and other handy essentials provided. Good location, short drive to queen Elizabeth forest park, Loch Lomond and other attractions. On site cafe is a bonus unfortunately we did not get a chance to try it on this occasion.

Cons: Feedback only meant as constructive as we had a wonderful stay. A bit of DIY work needed here and there e.g . the door handle on the main door was unattached from the door on the inside and we had to exit via the patio doors and push open the main door from the outside. . the Jacuzzi cover didn't fit properly and at one point we found it had completely submerged in the Jacuzzi whilst where out (we were trying to get it hot at the time and it was properly covered when we left it). . finally is a shame that the Jacuzzi was too cold on the first night despite us turning up the heat as soon as we arrived, it would be great if this could be put on a timer so it is fully hot and ready for use upon arrival.

A beautiful lodge in an amazing setting

Pros: What a lovely Lodge, such a gorgeous setting and the Lodge itself is so beautiful. We loved our rooms, a comfortable couch and everything is so well laid out. I am an ambulant wheelchair user and appreciated that the light switches were suitably placed and there was a ramp. There is a hot tub! I mean that alone was anmazing and I could get in and out due to its placement. Just lying there enjoying the mountains and the house martins swooping in the sky was worth it. The free body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as some tea and coffee also added to the welcome we felt. The housecoats were useful to keep the floor dry after going between the shower and hot tub too. We were grateful we could bring our dog as well.

Cons: Just some ideas that would make an excellent lodge even better. My points below are me being very picky due to how good the lodge is. The lodge itself was beautiful and clean but we noticed some dust starting to accumulate on the walls inside near the ceiling and spider webs outside. The door was sticking a bit at the bottom maybe just due to the amount of rain we have had this summer. The hot tub and shower were a bit noisy - again these didn’t distract from our stay but my son who slept in the beautiful twin room above could hear the hot tub all night. From a wheelchair users perspective some thoughts that might make the accessibility even better. A few handrails at the toilet, shower and beside the hot tub going down the stairs might be helpful. When booking I was informed that I would need to step into the bath for a shower however I did still feel a bit unsafe and was worried I would fall. The owners might want to look into a bath seat or another grab rail inside the shower. Guests with disabilities might want to consider bringing their own equipment with them. The bed in the bottom bedroom is so comfortable but a bit high if you are transferring.

Would stay again

Pros: The location was perfect for exploring the local area. Good sized rooms. Wonderfully comfy beds, plenty of towels and the robes were a bonus. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely little touches appreciated. Coffee, tea, sugar & shortbread. Washing tablets & washing up liquid, etc. Would be very happy to stay again.

Cons: The hot tub was not hot enough to use on our first night. We were told it may take a few hours to heat up. At 10pm it still was not warm enough. It was perfect for a dip in the morning, however on our return late afternoon it was too hot. Took a few hours to cool with it switched off. The heat button was stuck down. We eventually managed to get it to release and the temperature was fine for the rest of our stay.
