Enjoyable and I would go back

Pros: Very well set up with everything you could possibly need Beautiful location. Very comfortable bed. I went to relax in the peace and quiet after being ill. It ticked all the boxes.

Cons: The water from the hot water tank has a strong sulphurous smell when you run the tap

Pros: Warm, cozy and comfortable. Helpful staff and lovely area.

Pros: Cottage was very cosy and clean. Scenery was breathtaking.

Cons: The cottages were a little far out from the local village.

Pros: The scenery from the front room was spectacular!! We even had Barn Swallows nesting above our front door which just added to our stay.

Highland Lodge Killin

Pros: Spectacular views. Clean modern shower room. Big bed, plenty of storage space.

Cons: Needs updating in places, couch wasn't very comfortable. No soundproofing between cabins so you can hear every noise and conversation from either side. Mattress too soft for my preference.

A great place for a relaxing break.

Pros: We liked the whole place, very friendly and chatty owner. Location outside the town is very quiet. Very handy for fishing in local rivers and lochs. Hillwalkers will love the closeness of quite a lot of mountains

Cons: Only two minor issues which I believe are going to be rectified. Oven in cooker took a long time to reach temperature and soundproofing between lodges could be improved. Neither of these minor issues will stop us from returning.

Lovely place. Weather not so good.

Pros: It was cosy and we all enjoyed our 2 nights stay with the dog 🐶 💙

Pros: Everything in rowan lodge was just perfect,well equipped and clean definitely a home from home, staff very friendly and helpful

Pros: Lovely lodge, very clean and well equipped for self catering. Nice new bedding and shower-room. Good quality fittings.

Cons: The kitchen is a bit dated, but I assume next to be renovated to be in line with the new shower room, which is very nice.

A stunning place to stay.

Pros: The location was stunning. There's an excellent walk behind the cabins, which takes you along a stream. Perfect for dogs to paddle or drink in places. The owner was really welcoming & popped in to see how we would like to pay for the electric & our dog, Maxx. The cabin has everything you need, including bed linen but not an iron or ironing board. These can be requested from the management, as stated in the welcome information. Towels also need to be brought from home or hired. We were really impressed with how clean and well stocked the lodge was. There's even a little gate you can place across the balcony to keep pets from wondering off. The local area is astoundingly beautiful. With these lodges quite high up, it really is a breathtaking place to stay.

Cons: Unfortunately, when we arrived, we realised the lodge was part of a terrace of lodges, not separate. From one of the adjoining lodges, we could hear just about every word said. We were woken up on Saturday morning at 3:50am by them, talking, crying and laughing. This carried on for hours. It was all quiet until about 7 pm, when they ventured outside briefly. Then this morning, woken by them at 5:45am arguing. Needless to say, although the bed was comfortable, we didn't get very much sleep at all. Sadly for us, this ruined what could have been one of the best places we have ever stayed. The bad experience that we had is through no fault of the owners or the site. It was simply due to inconsiderate guests.
