The Blackbull Inn Polmont

Great for a couple of nights

Pros: Super comfy bed and very spacious . Great shower as well.

Cons: A little noisy with the road outside but I'm a light sleeper and black out blinds would be better again my preference as I'm a light sleeper and like it pitch black

Pros: Good location. Clean, comfy bed, cheap, great locals in the bar, friendly staff. Would deffo stay again.

Pros: Great value, the room was spacious, clean and quiet

Comfortable stay, conveniently close to Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Antonine Wall

Pros: This is a great wee traditional Scottish pub. The location is great; the facilities simple, but the room was spotlessly clean, and the bed comfy. There's a side entrance to the rooms, so you don't need to go through the bar, but I did enjoy a pint there before bedtime.

Cons: The Saturday night karaoke wasn't the most tuneful, but in fairness it didn't disturb my sleep.

Pros: It was nice and warm. Comfortable bed. Lots of facilities nearby

Really comfortable, value for money, and great location from which to take a day trip to Edinburgh.

Pros: The room and ensuite were really clean and spacious. The bed was large and very comfortable. It was excellent value for money. Pub noise wasn’t a problem, even though it was busy in there. We added a second night and did a day trip by train into Edinburgh instead of driving. The Black Bull is only 15 minutes walk from the station, and the train ride is about 25 minutes into central Edinburgh. It was perfect.

Pros: Located around 10 minutes walk from Polmont station so has good transport links, with a couple of takeaways close by (with a couple of shops in the local area). Bed was comfortable with the window having both blind & curtains to help block out the light. Good-sized bedroom with the shared bathroom close by.

Cons: A small bit of outside noise due to the road, shower wasn't the most powerful (and the bathroom light didn't switch off so there was some light leaking into the room from the hallway). Not the best first impression of arriving into the pub to pass smokers smoking within the front hallway area.

A brilliant place, couldn’t ask for any better

Pros: Fantastic place, really friendly staff and people in the pub. Room was really nice and clean, better than the pictures even. Would absolutely go back

Comfortable clean and friendly staff.

Pros: Location was on the main road although this didn't hinder the experience of the stay. On our welcome the staff member was very helpful as to where we could eat during our stay. Rooms were tidy and very comfortable.

Cons: As it was a last minute booking I would have liked our own bathroom instead of shared bathroom. I have to say this didn't put us off as the facilities were very good and clean for the price paid.
