Brig O'Doon Guest House

Pros: It was a great place to stay in Edinburgh, conveniently located on bus routes. The staff were very friendly and provided a delicious hot breakfast each morning. Would highly recommend!

Unforgettable

Pros: The room was very spacious and bright beds were very comfortable, the busses are very frequent and there’s one right outside another less than a minute that both bring you into the city which isn’t a far drive. With the price of staying there it exceeded expectations completely and was excellent

Cons: Would have liked maybe a few more options for hot breakfast eg porraige or something and not everyone is fond of the fry’s but other than that very good

Recommended stay for Edinburgh. Cheap, clean and with nice people running it.

Pros: This is a very nice and affordable place to stay in Edinburgh. Its a bit of a work from the center, but buses are available. My single room was small but perfect for my stay.

Pros: Accommodation welcoming, quiet and very clean. Room nicely prepared with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and soap, shampoo and body wash. Great breakfast with a vast choice, beautifully prepared and offered by Melissa. Accessible by bus from the station, on foot also of course. Brilliant location, walkable distance to the sea. Bus stop in front of the house. Places to eat very near and convenient shops nearby.

Cons: The only thing is the hot water with the shower. You need to wait a little while to get hot water, but it works beautifully afterwards.

Pros: It’s well maintained and it so damn cute. It has a wonderful view and the location of this place is pretty. It’s by the roadside but it never got noisy for us. Also provides a mini heater by your bed side.

Cons: I think there are some gaps in the main door due to which the heating doesn’t stay inside long. The heater must be continuously.

Lovely stay during New Year’s Eve

Pros: Has a pleasant 2 night stay during New Year’s Eve. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was cosy and had all the necessary facilities- it was also warm. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast and overall atmosphere. Would recommend this place.

Cons: Water in the bathroom was tricky to regulate, I guess it’s due to older pipe system.

Good value guest house in quiet location

Pros: Quiet location with regular bus direct into town. Good value for Edinburgh. Room was clean and fresh with tea/coffee facilities and decent TV. Very comfortable bed. Nice cooked breakfast included. Self check-in details were clearly communicated.
