We would definately stay at the hotel again next time we visit Scotland.

Pros: Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the fact that we could join in the exercise classes and use the swimming pool. My husband enjoyed playing golf, excellent facilities.

Lovely spot for some R&R!

Pros: The room was comfortable and clean liked it. Fabulous grounds. Great indoor pool!

Cons: Unfortunately the housekeeping staff had not refilled the tea and coffee from the previous guests and it was too late to call down for supplies so had to forgive my evening cup of tea!

Good value overnight stay

Pros: The beds are very comfortable with a great mattress, pillows and duvet.

Cons: The menu in the bar was quite limited. The temperature in the restaurant at breakfast time was extraordinarily hot and uncomfortable.

Prefect

Pros: The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Food 1st class Room clean and comfortable One small issue with the fridge not working in our room but it was replaced within 15mins. Excellent service and we would highly recommend.

Warm, cosy friendly hotel will definately be back.

Pros: Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. Very spacious lounge area with multiple varieties of seating areas to relax in. Excellent food in both restaurant and Brassiere. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Cons: We were given a free upgrade on arrival, it took a bit of getting used to the layout getting to and from our room to restaurant.

We had a magical time in Edinburgh

Pros: The location itself is very quiet and beautiful and walking through the hotel had a decent 4* feel to it with great staff. Breakfast routine was well ran and we loved the Haggis!

Cons: The evening meals, although adequate, did not inspire us to come back to the hotel as food in Edinburgh centre was far superior. The bed itself was old and did not afford the best night's sleep for people with back issues - sure they would be fine for most.

Great value for money in one of the best locations in the counrty.

Pros: The room was far better than a lot of accommodation I stay in for the same sort of cost and breakfast was superb. The staff were all attentive, polite and well presented. The setting is truly breathtaking and, if you are a golfer, I'd say it could be a go to place to visit, the grounds are beautiful. I couldn't say there was anything that was 'bad' about my stay.

Cons: The building might benefit from a facelift! It's looking a bit 'tired'. Not shabby but not sparkling new. Doesn't detract from the overall experience though.

Beautiful surroundings encase this quiet & comfortable hotel

Pros: Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, close to places of interest & just a nice, quiet place to spend a night or two

Cons: Breakfast could be made available to order fresh & on demand…continental breakfast still suits the continental style breakfast
