Excellent.

Pros: Wonderful stay at Crags Hotel from start to finish. The room was comfortable and everything felt just right. Harry was an excellent host — very welcoming and friendly. He was chatty, helpful, and made us feel at home. Would happily stay again and highly recommend it.

Pros: The Desh restaurant was very good and the hotel is right on the main street so everything is at hand. Staff are pleasant and helpful and the wee bar is warm and welcoming

Cons: We changed our room last minute for one that offered a bath and there was no view from the window but that's just being picky and entirely my own fault for changing last minute.

Pros: I had a truly wonderful stay at The Crags Hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Every member of the team went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, always with a smile and genuine kindness. One of the highlights of my stay was the Indian restaurant—it was absolutely excellent. The food was authentic, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Every dish was clearly prepared with care and high-quality ingredients, making each meal a real treat. The service in the restaurant matched the quality of the food: friendly, efficient, and professional.

A little gem, everything you need without 'frills', friendly, clean & comfortable.

Pros: We were really pleasantly surprised when just booking a quick stop over, friendly little bar at the front, the Indian restaurant is genuinely really tasty and the rooms were fantastic. Very friendly staff and locals, central to everything and comfortable.
