An excellent place to stay

Pros: The host, Daniel, is friendly and helpful. He strikes the right balance between being available but aware that you want to have privacy. He lives in a separate bit of the apartment so he is on hand for advice, but the guests have the run of the place. It is very well-equipped, particularly for cooking, and immaculate, with frequent, reliable busses to the city centre. There is ample parking for anyone arriving by car, which is rare for Edinburgh.

Cons: The apartment is in a modern neighbourhood and doesn't yet have pubs, coffee shops, or shops other than a Morrison's supermarket, so it wouldn't suit anyone wanting cultural life or nightlife on the doorstep. Having said that, it is an easy 20 minute journey into the centre by regular busses that run until about midnight.
