Bonawe House Holiday Cottages

Pros: The cottage I stayed in , Clematis, was super clean and very comfortable. It has been sympathetically renovated as its an 18th century property. There is everything you could need. Its in beautiful grounds with lots of lovely walks. Minutes walk to the historic Bonawe Furnace and Loch Etive. Its in a great position for exploring the area and the islands as its only a few miles from Oban. Communication was excellent. I would highly recommend

Pros: Location was fantastic, gorgeous views and lovely walks around the property. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need.We would definitely recommend.

Pros: Our family of four rented one of the vacation homes at Bonawe House. The furnishings in the vacation home were excellent, and there was plenty of space. The kitchen and bathroom had been renovated and were equipped with the latest technology (induction stove!). We particularly loved the beautiful gardens on the estate, including the duck pond—lots for the children to discover! The landlords, Renate and Damon, are very friendly and extremely helpful. Communication worked really well. All in all: a wonderful week's vacation in great accommodation! We'd love to come back.

Great time in a comfy and very clean cottage

Pros: The cottage was super comfy and clean. Easy check in, great response time from the host, very good location, available parking. we also liked the fact it was very quiet and the surroundings offered a lot of options for different activities outdoor. We just loved it and hope to come again!

Cons: It just needs new kitchen towels and a table cloth.

Pros: Lovely place, great host, everything was really nice. You need to have a car but then it is convinient for trips to glencoe and other places.

Perfectly Located Peaceful Place

Pros: Wonderful stay in a quiet and peaceful location. The cottage is fully equipped and very comfortable – a perfect base for exploring both the nearby islands and the Highlands. Beautiful surroundings, private and calm, yet close to everything you might want to see. We truly enjoyed our time here!

One of the best places to stay

Pros: The photos cannot prepare you for such a place. We were amazed from the first moment. Unbelievably quiet house with beautiful garden full of flowers in bloom, beautiful surroundings and a fantastic view from the terrace. Fully equipped apartment with everything we needed. One of the best places we've visited so far.

Pros: This charming, beautiful clean, self catering property provided everything we could ever need for our holiday. Set in stunning surroundings with plenty of walks from the cottage. Easy access to Oban. A village shop, Post Office , Tea Room, Hotel and a Railway Station. All added to a perfect stay.

Pros: Everything about the property was good….tastefully appointed and great kitchen facilities. The 5 berth was tight for 5 adults but we knew there were bunk beds and a double bed and the price reflected this…..better for family with children.

Pros: Spotlessly clean, comfiest beds (best sleep I've ever had on vacation), very cozy accomodation with everything you could possibly need. Good wifi. The location is exceptional with killer views from the front garden, under an hour driving to Glen Coe hiking paths, some half-hour driving to Oban ferry to Mull for daytrips, and lovely walks right around Taynuilt (Riverside Walk much recommended, it's easy and very pleasant). Neighbours across the little road behind the property were also lovely and let us give the bottle to their orphaned lambs 🤩 Do not miss Kilchurn Castle nearby. The castle ruin is very cool and highland coos are just roaming around (no worries they are very chill) without hords of tourists!

Cons: Leaving was a bit of a bummer!
