Beautiful spacious old schoolhouse with stunning sea views and beach nearby

Most relaxing 2 day break in a beautiful location .

Pros: We loved the location and the views over to Arran ,and we knew the people who had this house away back on the early 70s and remember the property then . And love what the owners have done to the property it’s beautiful.

Cons: Its size especially if you were taking the family plenty room for everyone and we took our elderly mum and it suited her having bedroom and bathroom on ground floor . It was just perfect for us .

Pros: Location....warmth...beautiful house. Access to local bus good apart from after 6.00pm but taxis an option.

Cons: Water was off upon arrival. Property next door had plumbers in they had turned the water off. Asked them to turn it on. We went for a walk and they had turned it off again by the time we arrived back and they had gone. Not very satisfactory. It took messages and a phone call to resolve to have the local maintenance man on site. He had to go away again and come back with a stop cock tap.We reported one of the bathroom toilet cisterns not working he looked at it and said part of the mechanism had broken. He said a plumber would come the next day nobody turned up. We used a bucket to flush it for the whole time at the property. Plus the shower temperature was very temperamental usually warm or luke warm on all of the showers . The bath water was never warm enough couldn't get a constant temperature. So a few things that need addressing for the next guests. We could all cope with the situation so not really a problem but somewhat annoying. Some other guests might no t be so obliging. But having reported the above the accommodation was very good.

Pros: I loved the location , it was very desk everyday to step out and walk along the beach

Cons: No real back garden for the dogs as such but nice front garden

Pros: The quietness and the view, bed, pillows and bed linen were very comfortable, lovely clean home, location is excellent right opposite the water and within easy reach to tour the whole of Bute . Very lovely house, warm and so cosy. would return

Cons: Not a lot, only a few things.., The glass in the windows in the conservatory , believe the seals need replacing ,hence no clear view.. would of been a lovely place to watch the sunsetting, but we still enjoyed the views from the lounge. The roman blinds were a bit all over the shop, and would not pull up evenly

Fabulous property in the most amazing location!

Pros: Fabulous location, cosy and comfortable home from home. Had everything we could have wished for and more.

We had an amazing time and most importantly our dogs loved it as much as we did

Pros: We picked this property to take our dogs away from firework and this was the perfect pick total peace and tranquility a stone throw for the beach we will definitely be back x

Cottage with amazing views out to sea..

Pros: The location was amazing The cottage was well equiped The living room large cosy and had wonderful views..

Cons: Struggled a bit with low ceiling in 1st floor bedrooms

4 night stay, not long enough...

Pros: 4th visit to house in 2 years. I have already booked for next year! Cosy , comfy, homely. Family friendly. Wonderful location.

Cons: The Scottish weather!

Wonderful few days on Isle of Bute

Pros: Beautiful spacious well equipped house in wonderful location with spectacular views. Beaches nearby and lovely walks. Fairly remote but not too far from Port Bannatyne and Rothsay. A very pleasant comfortable stay.
