Tarandoun Cottage

Pros: Location was first class, easy access to train station and a short walk into Helensburgh town, this is our third visit to Tarandoun Cottage, would highly recommend.

Cons: The weather.

Lovely older cottage, quiet location

Pros: Lovely little older cottage conversion, quiet, great location on Clyde estuary. Beds very comfy. Private parking. Extensive gardens- but the cottage access to the shore is a bit difficult. Owners friendly and responsive.

Cons: We couldn’t open the windows in the twin bedroom or en-suite bathroom, and there was no extractor fan. Hot weather. The living room is a bit cramped, with only 3 chairs. It needs a sofa and armchairs for better comfort. The dining table and chairs are older conservatory style and take up a lot of room - a smaller, neater set up would help. Plumbing is a bit erratic. Cottage needs a bit of an upgrade in general IMO.

Tickety boo!

Pros: It was cosy. Very warm / plenty of hot water etc. Kitchen was very well equipped. Chairs comfy. View of the River Clyde was exceptional.

Cons: Only 3 lounging chairs in living room. Beds were okay but headboards less so. But these are very minor issues.

This is our second visit to the cottage will definitely be back for a third

A lovely relaxing week in a very comfortable cottage.

Pros: The location was great, on the edge of town. Right on the coast with steps from the garden down to the beach. Good view. About 1 mile from a large Morrisons supermarket. Train station to Glasgow close at hand. The owners dog Rowan was lovely, and very well behaved.

Heerlijke cottage op een leuke plek

Pros: Smaakvol ingericht met aandacht voor details. Prachtig uitzicht over tuin en water. Privé strand.

Excellent and Shhh !!!! don't tell anyone...its my secret peaceful place

Pros: Everything!! I did not want to share this with anyone as it is such a wee gem of a place . Its like having a wee private oasis I truly loved this place .....felt totally at ease here ..I cannot recommend it enough

Cons: I wish the furniture was arranged differently and had a couch to cuddle up on although the chairs were comfy a couch would have been nice

Gemütliche Unterkunft mit guter Anbindung nach Glasgow

Pros: Sehr gemütliches, ruhig gelegenes Ferienhäuschen. Ideal für zwei Paare, da zwei Badezimmer. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, es ist ein sehr familiäres Ambiente. Der Garten zur Bucht hinaus ist auch sehr schön. Man kommt sehr gut mit dem Zug nach Glasgow, eine Haltestelle ist ganz in der Nähe, der Zug fährt alle 30 Minuten und man ist dann auch in ca 30 Minuten im Zentrum von Glasgow.

Cons: Der Ort selber, Helensburgh ist nicht sehr attraktiv. Es gab kleinere Mängel in der Unterkunft, die nicht im Verhältnis zum doch recht hohen Preis stehen. Die Gegend ist zum Joggen nicht ganz so gut. Auf der Straße zur Ortsmitte wollte ich rechts abbiegen und wurde von Möwen attackiert. Aber insgesamt überwiegen die positiven Aspekte deutlich. Würde wieder buchen.
