Aigas Cottage

Quite and peaceful

Pros: The property was clean and had everything you could possibly need for a night away. Sky tv, board games, tea and coffee with a pint of milk in the fridge. Superb property

Cons: It was a bit cold but once the fire had been lit it soon warm up quickly

Pros: Extra plus for the fireplace. Due to the weather the downstairs felt a bit chilly and damp, but just burning a couple of logs in the fireplace made the living room feel warm and cozy.

Cons: Took us a bit to figure out that the lock box with the key was in the vestibule, and that the outer door to the vestibule was open.

Pros: Great home from home with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Great communication with David.

We enjoyed the stay, there are minor issues but nothing serious.

Pros: The cottage was well appointed and large by comparison to other locations, it was one of the only places that had a washing machine so we could do our laundry, as I have already explained to the owner operating instructions would be handy. Longer term travellers appreciate being able to do laundry where they stay.

Cons: There are a couple of issues is access to the property is via a very small lane way, but you can park you hire car at the location which was a bonus. Instructions on things like wi fi, appliances, access, and knowing that you need to supply your own food, would have been a benefit but this is partly my fault, i should have asked, and finding groceries can be an issue. The owners are only new to letting their property out so can be forgiven for minor inconveniences, access to the property was ok for our Audi A3 however a larger vehicle would have been a significant problem.

Excellent place to stay apart from the issues I highlighted re access and stairs

Pros: The property is really nice and in a very quiet location. However it is located up a very narrow lane which is not marked and it was hard to find. Also a very big car would struggle to get through this lane. The property is immaculate, nice and big inside although it doesn’t look as big from the outside. Dave and Sue, kept us up to date every step of the way and are brilliant hosts.

Cons: See comments above re access to the property Also the property could do with a toilet upstairs, as being off a certain age and having both knees replaced it meant having to go downstairs to the bathroom, normally this is not an issue but the stairs in the house are very steep and I personally struggled to get up and down them. I would urge the owners to check and see if they comply with the relevant regulations as normally I don’t have an issue with “normal “ stairs.

Cottage paisible et très spacieux

Pros: Emplacement très sympathique, un îlot de tranquillité dans la ville. Le cottage et ses chambres sont très spacieux. Nous avons adoré le jardin. Le billard et le poêle à bois sont très agréables quand le beau temps n'est pas au rendez-vous!

Cons: Nous étions ravis de ce logement. Manquait juste un ou deux articles que David est en train de remplacer (étendoir, gant pour le four)
