Pros: The cottage was gorgeous. Loads of room, beautifully styled. The perfect place away from the bustle of large cities. Close to Linlithgow and only 20 mins on the train to Edinburgh. Highly recommend. Lovely and warm.

Pros: We had a lovely five-night stay at the cottage. It was a great base for seeing the sights around Edinburgh and Glasgow. On the outside it's a quaint old cottage but inside it's had a recent renovation so it's all comfortable, convenient, and clean. The cottage has been stocked thoughtfully with pretty much everything you'd need. The kitchen has basics like oil, salt, pepper, a few herbs and spices, coffee pods, tea, and sugar. There was liquid for the washing machine and pods for the dishwasher. Comfy beds, clean sheets and towels, plenty of hot water. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toilet paper in both bathrooms. There are two large supermarkets 10 minutes walk away, as well as a few takeaway food shops, restaurants, and pubs. Overall, one of the best places we've stayed.

Cons: The couch could be better, it's a sofabed and the seat cushions have lost their cushiness.

Delightful family stay- lovely, warm and spacious.

Pros: Absolutely lovely cottage to call ours for 10 days. Felt very warm and welcoming. I especially loved all of the bay windows. Perfectly appointed for a family. Allowed for parents and kids to have some space from each other. We were able to cook, keep on top of washing and walk to places to eat or just stroll between visits to nearby towns, Edinburgh, Glasgow and a trip up to Inverness. Make sure to visit the nearby butcher for some of their ‘pop in the oven meals’ for an easy home cooked dinner while travelling, the wine bar for a quiet drink or McMoos if you like ice-cream.

Cons: Coming out of the driveway took a little courage. Trusting cars to politely stop if we were part way out isn’t customary in Australia, so it took a little getting used to. The locals seem patient and didn’t fuss if they had to stop while we pulled out.

We enjoyed our stay, the cottage was very comfortable with all amenities we needed, provided.

Pros: The location was great, we were able to walk to the town etc. The cottage was very comfortable.

Cons: Accessing the driveway was sometimes difficult as the cottage is on a downhill bend, cars travel this road very fast and aren't always aware of cars pulling in and out of the driveway. This makes the access to the cottage quite dangerous. Entering the cottage for the first time using the door code was challenging, once we got in and were able to use the fobs we were okay.
