MAC Skyline Lodges

Great lodges in a good location.

Pros: Fabulous location near Loch Lomond. Good sized lodge. Lots of utilities in the lodge. Great sized bathroom & ensuite. Comfortable sofas & dining chairs. Everything was really clean, warm & had comfortable beds. Plenty of towels too. Great walk in wardrobes with lots of shelves & hanging space. The two twin rooms are on the small side but perfectly formed. The Cruin restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices. Only a 5 minute walk.

Cons: There was a wedding on in The Cruin. Music on loud until midnight. Roads are pot holed, could do with resurfacing. Lots of new lodges being added so hopefully this will be resolved.

Pros: “The facilities, the lake, the breathtaking nature, the weather, and the chalet everything was truly amazing.”

Pros: Very cosy, clean, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, sitting area perfect for six people. By the way: The Lodge was described with 40 m2. However, this is misleading because it is far bigger in reality.

Cons: More coffee making facilities would have been nice.

Overall the stay was good however at the cost involved this is why we do not normally holiday in Scotland.

Pros: Location was good for the wedding we were attending.

Pros: Location in relation to places of interest around Loch Lomond was great. Cabin was beautiful and had everything you could wish for plus more. I loved the wine fridge! Nice little touches such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and some tea, coffee & milk sachets for arrival was great. Lodges were well spaced apart, so didn't feel overlooked by neighbours

Cons: Location of the site is very close to the A82, which is a very busy road. As the weather was warm, we had the bedroom windows open at night and heard vehicles throughout the night.

Better than expected!

Pros: Spacious, modern, with excellent facilities (especially the two bathrooms with both bathtub and shower). Green patch outside and access to the lake. No view but the large windows facing trees and vegetation make up for it. We really enjoyed staying inside during some heavy rain, it felt cozy. Personal car park right next to it, convenient for luggage or groceries.

Cons: Really can't complain about anything, better than we expected! Perhaps the nearby road was busier than expected but didn't really cause us any trouble going to and from the lodge, not was the noise a problem

First class choice of accommodation.

Pros: Comfortable furniture, pleasant location. The receptionist rang us to say the accommodation was ready for us to occupy.

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Pros: Excellent facilities well beyond expectations. Home from home. Simply brilliant goes nowhere near describing the cabin

Pros: Everything. Accommodation and location was perfect.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like. One of the best stays I have experienced for self catering accommodation.

Very nice but make sure you ask for the exact lodge number if you arrive after 530pm and know exactly where it is

Pros: great location, very clean, very well presented and nice cooking facilities with good amount of space

Cons: We arrived at 7pm after reception closed and the details we were given were not very clear. The map showed us a different lodge that someone was already staying at. We were driving round for 25 minutes but eventually someone showed us where to go but it was not obvious at all. The number on the lodge 27 we stayed at were not the given on any correspondence. The section it was in CRUIN was also not on any correspondence. We tried all the key safes on the whole site with the code we were given and tried to open doors of every other lodge. The contact number given went straight to answer phone and I was just about to give up and book somewhere else until someone helped us. After a nine hour journey this wasn’t an ideal start. But when we found it was brilliant and would definitely stay again.
