A magical hideaway on Loch Lomond

Pros: The Corries was a perfect stay. Brodie was a very considerate and thoughtful host. He has thought of everything to make The Corries a special place to stay. Location was great near the gorgeous Luss village and the Loch Lomond Inn where we had an excellent dinner. Not only are guests provided with a lovely room to stay but also a shared lounge/breakfast room with beautiful views of Loch Lomond and the highlands beyond. It was captivating. Loved Brodie’s focus on local produce for a delicious breakfast. Sad to leave and hope to be back. Highly recommend.

Wonderful views.

Pros: Excellent location with great views over Loch Lomond. A small, cosy B&B with a lovely garden. Breakfast was excellent, parking available, room of a reasonable size, very clean communal area, and if the sun shone then sitting on the outside decking was heavenly.

Cons: The beds were not the most comfortable to sleep in. Otherwise, an excellent B&B for the price.

A peaceful B&B perfectly located above Loch Lomond with a warm, thoughtful host

Pros: The house is beautifully located, perched above Loch Lomond and surrounded by nature — we even spotted two deer in the evening, which was simply magical. It’s an ideal base for exploring the area on foot, with fantastic walks accessible straight from the doorstep (no need for a car!). Our room was thoughtfully arranged and very comfortable, and Brodie was the perfect host, attentive and kind. We particularly appreciated the lovely gesture of offering us a wee dram of whisky after a long hike — a warm and thoughtful touch that made us feel truly welcome.

Cons: Unfortunately, the nearby dining options were quite disappointing. Most of the local restaurants serve overpriced frozen food that lacked flavour and authenticity. We would definitely recommend venturing a bit further — we found some excellent places to eat in Luss, which were well worth the extra effort.

I would highly recommend the Corries. It is clean, cosy, has a beautiful view and friendly owner.

Pros: The room was extremely comfortable, clean and cosy. The view to Loch Lomond from the dining room/deck exquisite. The breakfast was beautifully home cooked and delicious. We were given a cup of tea and homemade biscuits on arrival. Great attention to detail.

Cons: Nothing that we disliked.

Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in area.

Pros: Brodie was very friendly and hospitable. Gave good advice and tips as we were on a walking weekend. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons: Nothing. Fresh milk for tea in room would be my only request. Maybe a little left in fridge or thermal bottle in room.

2 friends on a road trip!

Pros: The location was stunning, view of Loch Lomond and tranquil with places to sit outside weather permitting. Just off the main A road, well signposted. Lounge area for guests, also with great views, which stocked a variety of drinks with honesty box should you want. Tea and cake on arrival was a nice touch and a wee dram in the room just made it a bit more special. Of course the usual tea, coffee and biscuits. All good quality. Nice toiletries too. Brodie was a good host, giving suggestions of local places to visit.

Cons: Can't think of anything! Except we only got to stay 1 night as we were moving down the street, wish it could have been more!
