Pros: The host Kath made our short stay so relaxing as nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic, room was great and I would highly recommend a stay at Backbrae House. We did not just book accommodation we made a friend (including Maggie the dog!).

Best b&b we’ve ever stayed in <3

Pros: Firstly, Cath is an amazing host, so friendly and accommodating- she couldn’t do enough for us. Maggie the dog is an added bonus for us - so cute! The house is in a gorgeous location and has everything you could need. Rooms are big and comfortable, with great quality bedding etc. The breakfast is the best we’ve ever had - definitely couldn’t finish it and Cath’s freshly baked banana bread is divine! Would love to stay again for sure. Thank you Cath for a lovely stay x

Pros: An amazing family home that they shared with us and especially 'Maggie' the dog, who was absolutely adorable! Really exceptional architecture im this remoddled building!

Cons: The whole atmosphere 😍 Cathy couldn't have done more to make this an exceptional B&B. It's a great steal if available! You won't regret

A relaxing, peaceful and comfortable stay with a warm and thoughtful host.

Pros: Loved the location, the room was finished to a high standard and Cath was a great host, offering recommendations of where to eat (great pub a few minutes walk down the road) and making a booking for us. The location is in the gorgeous countryside of Lanark and this was perfect for us, it was a stop off on our way home after completing the NC500. Peace and quiet was what we were looking for, and that was finished perfectly with the hot tub, the comfy beds and warm home, and a gorgeous breakfast in the morning to fuel us for the final journey home.
