Edinburgh Home from Home

Pros: No huge rooms if that's important, but super cozy and clean! Very friendly and kind people and breakfast was tasty. We had some individual wishes (veggie+vegan) and they made great porridge, banana pancakes and Avocado Toast while we had lovely conversations. We loved it.

Cons: From the airport, with train or bus you need to get to city center first before heading to Currie. It's not a big deal but may be important to others. But they offer a shuttle ride if needed, so you still have comfortable options.

Absolutely recommend for a short stay.

Pros: Fantastic host. Very friendly and helpful with a genuine interest in meeting new people and making them feel at home. The coffee is fantastic. Great access to public transport, quiet neighbourhood.

Very nice hosts offering a warm and comfortable stay

Pros: The property was very convenient for where I was going. It was easy to find. The hosts were very helpful and nice. I walked to a nearby pub for dinner. Breakfast was good. My room was comfortable and well thought out. Internet good too!

Pros: What's not to like!! Steve and Heather are the most delightful hosts and they go above and beyond what you would normally expect for an overnight stay. There was great and prompt communication; a warm and friendly welcome; a very clean and comfortable room complete with a selection of teas, coffee and snacks; and the breakfast was an amazing and delicious feast. The property is in a very good location with public transport less than a ten minute walk away, or street parking is readily available. Our stay here exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the south east of Scotland.

Pros: I had an absolutely amazing time staying at Steve and Heather's lovely home. I immediately felt comfortable and like home. The variety at breakfast was super nice as well.

Very convenient for city exploring

Pros: The owners went beyond themselves to make us feel home and guarantee a perfect stay. Thank you once again! Inspiring introduction to the area and things to see and do. Healthy good breakfast. Bus and train in walking distance safe a lot of parking trouble in Edinburgh. Short drive to the airport.

Recommended place to stay

Pros: Great hosts, made us feel very welcome. Room was very cosy and had our own bathroom. Excellent breakfast. The dogs were very friendly.

Pros: The landlord was very helpfull with good advice for restauant, how to travel to Edinburgh, and was an amazing breakfast-Chef, respecting my no lactose/no carb diet. 😊🌻 Fine family, good dogs, good room and bathroom, car parking in the street, very quiet situation, 3 busses and train to Edinburgh... great!!
