Jameswood Villa

An amazing place to stay, of high quality, great hosts, everything you need, great value for money.

Pros: The property was high class in every aspect. A high level interior design, whilst very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Cons: Absolutely nothing

Short Break

Pros: We recently stayed at Jameswood Villa for a weekend break. The villa was clean, tidy and well equipped. The villa was modern but still kept the period appeal which was lovely. Lovely large back garden which our dog Franco loved exploring. It is also a great base for exploring Argyll & Bute. We have already recommended to our friends and family and will definitely be back to stay again.

Pros: Confortable bed, well equipped kitchen, well designed, good access to the local area and clean. Had all three amenities for a comfortable stay.

Cons: Projector det up was a little awkward and would benefit from being realigned

Villa stay

Pros: Liked how warm and cosy it was with everything you need. Nice welcoming touches.

Cons: Unable to use the bath or shower due to my mobility issues. A wall rail and a not slip matt for the bath would be an advantage.

Superb accommodation, great location a perfect stay for our first family holiday!

Pros: The property was perfect for us! It was well equipped, lovely decor and great guidebook with lots of information. There were great cooking facilities and we loved the projector and hosts were also fabulous! We had a travel cot upon arrival and even a phone charger which came in handy as we forgot ours! Couldn’t fault anything.

Cons: There were only a couple of things we thought could be improved. The lock on the door needed fixed and also an enclosed garden if possible only because we had a child and dog and property is on main road.

Pros: Everything! Lovely property, fitted, equipped and designed to a high standard. Very comfortable and thoughtful extra touches, such as face cloth provision (not always provided). Loved the little framed drawings

Cons: Not a criticism just a suggestion for consideration. There are a few features that are fitted quite high on walls. Thinking the shelving for crockery and bathroom mirror. As a shorter person they were quite a stretch to reach. Maybe a standing lamp in corner for softer lighting in front room. Thank you

Feels like a home

Pros: This staying is absolutely wonderful and truly feels like a home. It was such a pleasure to return after long walks, make a cup of tea, and enjoy some evening reading by the window with that beautiful lake view. We felt so cosy and welcomed here, and we’ll definitely be coming back again.

Pros: Quiet and clean with everything you would hope for.

Cons: Sandbank seems a bit of a rundown place.

A lovingly restored villa full of charm and decorated to a high standard.

Pros: The property was easy to get to from the ferry terminal and the centre of Dunoon. The house and surrounding area guide books created by the host were a lovely touch and really helpful. The projector was a great addition.

We felt at home immediately in this beautiful apartment. Great access to the town and all the beautiful views and places

Pros: A beautiful Victorian property, done to a high standard with period features from light switches to the bathroom.Very comfortable beds and easy to use heating system. A sea view from the living room was nice too.
