Badgers Den

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful location. Beth and John are very helpful and friendly.

Pros: Badgers Den is self catering so breakfast was not included. Some tea and coffee was provided to get you started. All you could want in respect of the kitchen. Dishwashing and washing machine cleaners are provided.

Cons: Not a lot to improve on.

A luxuriously comfortable stay. Thank you.

Pros: Loved the character of the accommodation and everything had been done to a very high standard, and everything had been thought of. The location was so peaceful and Beth was very welcoming. Especially loved the homemade fudge and would certainly stay again.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.

Pros: Wonderful location. Easy train connection to Edinburgh near by. Top notch comfortable facilities - a home away from home

Couldn't have asked for more

Pros: There were so many thoughtful touches including some beautiful homemade shortbreads and cakes. We were well looked after and I will be returning with my partner. We even got lucky enough to see and stroke the gorgeous doggos just as we were leaving. This topped it all off and took the place from a 10/10 to an 11/10. I almost don't want to review so it's not fully booked when I come to book again!

Cons: Nothing! If it was cheaper we would come regularly for our stargazing adventures.

Hidden gem

Pros: The Badgers Den is a hidden gem. A peaceful spot away from the crowds, but close enough to sights, shops and restaurants. The studio was clean, comfortable, beautifully designed and decorated. It had everything you'd need in a self catering accommodation. And our hosts were just delightful. We'd definitely stay again thank you for hosting us!

Wonderful comfortable place to stay, clean, quiet.

Pros: Badgers Den has everything for an amazing stay. There was milk, coffee, teabags, sugar, crisps, chocolate biscuits and condiments. Very quiet location, typical countryside noises pheasants, horses and sheep. The bed and chairs were extremely comfortable. Everywhere inside and out was very clean. Attention to detail, there was nothing missing. Being short I loved the fact I could see my face in the mirrors - usually I can just see the top of my head.

Cons: Unfortunately I couldn’t reach the glasses on the shelf, but there were enough mugs to drink out of. I think this is a mostly a me problem

A delightful place to stay

Pros: Badgers Den is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It has an upstairs deck overlooking horses in paddocks and sheep in pastures.

Cons: There is only one thing I would change - I would put clear glass panes in the back door so you can see the view from inside.

Pros: Stunning accommodation, clean very comfortable bed , quiet , stunning views , little touches of loveliness , proper coffee , cute biscuits etc , 100% recommend

Great base for exploring Scotland

Pros: Easy to find. Lovely welcome from the owners. Great location. Quiet but central to everything. Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Nice bathroom. Great use of space, layout well thought out. Very clean. We used the apartment as a base for exploring Dunfermline, Stirling, Falkirk, Dollar, and much more - it was a fantastic choice.

Great base from which to explore this part of Scotland.

Pros: Badger’s Den was equipped with everything we could possibly need to make our stay very comfortable. It was warm and cozy despite the weather which meant that some of our sightseeing opportunities were limited. However, it was good to come ‘home’ to our quiet retreat.

Cons: Shame we didn’t see any wildlife!
