Pros: The flat itself is very comfortable. It was evident from the slight markings and spots of mould that the flat had been fitted out a few years ago, but the fittings are of a high quality and everything works perfectly. There is a surprising amount of space inside the bedrooms. The high ceilings make it feel airy and it was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable, with good quality bedlinen, and there were plenty of towels available. It was also extremely quiet. The only noise we could hear sometimes was the creak of floorboards above, but this was not obtrusive. And the village itself is a gem.

Cons: There are two key safes at the front door, and we spent some time wrestling with the wrong one. It should be removed. Apart from that, the other minus is something the owner has very little control over, which is the siting of the flat. It is part of a block situated much higher than the road and although it is a ground floor flat there are two sets of steep steps leading up to the front door. If you are unable to carry luggage up steps this is not the flat for you. The whole area outside gives the appearance of being rather unkempt with weeds and broken bricks but this is in no way indicative of the quality of the flat.
