Charming 1 Bed Apartment with Castle View

Exceptional stay , everything as I expected

Pros: The location is perfect , and the house is clean and cozy!

Cons: I could say I didn’t like the bathroom water faucet where there’s only super hot or super cold water because the valves are separate.

Fantastic Edinburgh Property

Pros: Probably my favourite place I’ve stayed in. Having a view of the castle is magical. Facilities are fantastic with the washing machine being extra convenient. Perfect location as well as you are only two flights of stairs from the Royal Mile. Topped off with great communication, although it is expensive you certainly get what you pay for.

Pros: Location is key here. It's a few minutes walk to the castle, which means a few minutes to Royal Mile. The room is well decorated, very comfortable and big. Shower and bed are good as well. There's a kitchen with a small fridge and kitchen appliances, very useful.

Cons: The room we stayed can get a bit noisy on account of people passing outside and talking/ laughing, but that's got nothing to do with the staff. It's just that there are stars right outside the window and there are people coming and going until very late. The outside of the building/ area are not very inviting. Cons: The flat is on the top floor. Too many steps but that's the only downfall

Perfect

Pros: I had an excellent stay in this apartment. It’s clean and nicely renovated. I visited in November and was a bit worried about being cold, but the temperature inside was perfect — as someone who gets chilly easily, I was delighted! The staff is extremely responsive and very pleasant, even from a distance. It was reassuring, especially since I was traveling alone (as a woman). Everything is provided — towels, hair dryer, shower gel, etc. The location couldn’t be better: very close to the castle and all the landmark sites of Old Edinburgh. I’m 100% satisfied.

Pros: We loved the apartment. Right in Grassmarket and close to everything. Apartment was immaculate and had everything needed for a comfy stay.

Cons: The dryer part of the washer/dryer didn’t dry - clothing rack was provided though…

Sweet memories

Pros: I felt welcomed and comfy. Good location, perfect for diving into the city life. I had everything I needed. I was getting messages from my hosts with useful suggestions about sightseeing

Cons: The only thing was disturbing and loud people who were hanging out in front of the bedroom windows on Saturday night

Excellent location and the apartment had everything we needed

Pros: The place was fantastic, great location and everything we needed. The washing machine was a wonderful bonus as we had been travelling for a couple of weeks without laundering. The apartment was central to all the attractions but still quiet of a night. Very spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend

Cons: The stairs. We have a lot of luggage as we are away for quite a while. There are about 30 steps from the Grassmarket to the apartment entrance and then four flights of stairs to our apartment. Definitely needed a whiskey and a lie down after that

Best location

Pros: Location was brilliant, close to everything, Castle, city centre, pubs and restaurants. Clean, comfortable and had everything you need.

Cons: Located on the lower floor right next to a public walkway to the city from Grassmarkets so lots of foot traffic and can be a bit noisy.

Fantastic apartment, but there are lots of steps

Pros: This is an excellent apartment, located very centrally. Grassmarket is a great area, and you get a lovely view of Edinburgh Castle. The staff provided comprehensive information on how to check in, and we had no trouble at all. They were very responsive to our questions and extremely pleasant and helpful. The apartment has everything you could want, including a washing machine/dryer, an iron and small ironing board, a hairdryer, and a dishwasher. It was very clean and comfortable. If it wasn't for all the stairs, I would rate the apartment excellent, rather than good.

Cons: The only downside to the apartment is that there are a lot of steps. The best way to get to the apartment is from Grassmarket, but even then, there are some steps to be negotiated. Once you reach the entry to the building, the apartment is on the fourth floor, so quite a few more steps to negotiate. My husband and I are reasonably fit, mid 60 & 70 year olds, and we managed. I'm sure younger, fit people will be fine. It's only fair that you're aware of this when booking, and I had read previous reviews, so we were aware. Overall, I'd like to thank all staff involved for a very pleasant stay!
