The Riverside Hideaway by Calton Living

Pros: The appartment was great with a good view on the water of leith. The pictures make the appartment look a little bit smaller than the picture, but it was really great!

Nice flat in great location

Pros: Well furnished and equipped flat. Light, bright and clean. Great location in a quiet area.

Cons: Shower was a little dark due to shower curtain

Overall a good stay, would I go back yes.

Pros: The location was about a 15-minute walk from the main city train station. It was easy to get into the city either walking or by taxi for a reasonable price. The apartment was nice, and it had all the facilities you would want and clean. Access into the apartment was easy, clear instructions to follow and good communication from the host if required.

Cons: The apartment needs a little TLC, worn carpets, doors and walls in some locations, and the windows also need replacing, however working and safe. It would also be nice to have even one or two sachets of milk to put in your tea or coffee upon arrival. The price was a little high, I am from London and could get the same for less there.

Great overall

Pros: Location was exceptional, everything was clean and well maintained

Cons: Hallway outside the room was pretty ordinary as were some of the stairs leading down, require some attention

Pros: Lovely flat in great location in Stockbridge nice to hear the water and was very quiet. Short walk to restaurants and to center of Edinburgh

Elegant flat in a peaceful corner of0 Stockbridge

Pros: The location was perfect for exploring Stockbridge, being only five minutes fron the busiest street on Raeburn Place, but it was also much more peaceful than expected with very little street noise. The sound of the Dean Water outside was very soothing! The flat was also bright, spacious and elegantly furnished, giving it some real Edinburgh character. I like the Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries and the nice Clipper tea and coffee supplies too!

Cons: There were a few small quirks, such as two cupboards above the sink whose hinges came loose when I tried to open them (this was obviously reported). I would have preferred a screen to a curtain in the bath/shower, as shower curtains can often go slightly stale. Perhaps one or two more measuring jugs in the kitchenette too.

Windows needed to be fixed if you stay in winter

Pros: Great location with a few buses going around the city in 5 minutes walk. Beautiful view from window, quiet and peaceful. A couple of supermarkets, good quality grocery stores, and cafes and restaurants.

Cons: No dishwasher, windows don’t close properly, cutleries and utensils are particularly clean. Carpet isn’t properly hoovered.

Lovely flat in Edinburgh

Pros: Beautiful location right on the river. Easy to walk everywhere. The flat itself was lovely.

Lovely and peaceful stay

Pros: Such a lovely location, beautiful living room and kitchen area

Cons: Just the shower pressure wasn’t the best but it did it’s job and got us clean!

Very well placed for Edinburgh and great property.

Pros: Everything about the property was fine. One or two niggles below.

Cons: 1. Issues with shower as didn't know about the rope pull. 2. Could have let us know which up and down varies the temperature in the flat. 3. Never quite worked out the microwave e.g. to set the 2 min timer.
