A good, well equipped apartment to use as your base for exploring around Loch Lomond

Pros: Nice location, the Duck Bay Hotel is a pleasant walk for meals/coffees. The accommodation is comfortable and very well equipped. Nice to have bread, milk etc. supplied - thank you!

Cons: We were a little unsure upon arrival as the stairwell walls were scruffy, but the apartment itself is very nice. The bedroom window has a broken side trim which allows for road noise and cold air entry - will be an issue in colder weather. Lovely bathroom but extractor fan not working which will cause steam/water damage if not fixed.

Perfect for a small family

Pros: We loved so much about this place. Very spacious, high ceilings, huge bath! Mostly in pristine condition. The beautiful grounds and small private beach on the Loch. The hosts left us plenty of consumables you don't often get in self catering apartments. The location is perfect for a family, close to the local town but still very quiet and private. So much to see and do nearby, or a perfect base to travel further into the wild.

Cons: Not sure much could be better.

We recommend the flat for couples

Pros: Beautiful area and great with walking distance to a few nearby restaurants. Good size for 2 people. No traffic noise. Beautiful garden.

Cons: Pity the flat doesn’t face the lake side. The kitchen supplies need an overview, if it’s supposed to accomodate self-catering. The welcome package was poor quality. Better to have skipped it.

Pros: Lovely apartment that felt like a home away from home. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and a good living space for us and our baby. We were v grateful to the owners for providing a high chair and carry cot.

Cons: Can't think of much, the only thing that comes to mind is the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. It was pretty steamy after a shower but not sure how much can be done about that.

Cosy home away from home on the Loch

Pros: Beautiful flat, well appointed and maintained. Very comfortable and big enough for a couple. Would be a tight fit with more adults or children on the sofa bed. We had a swim in the Loch from the small beach area. Enjoyed dinner at nearby Duck Bay

Cons: Lovely location. This flat has no view of the Loch except glimpses through one window. Loch is so near but you have to access the castle grounds to see the view. Main road can be heard but didn’t disturb us with the windows closed. Layout of main bedroom unusual due to wall design. Instructions to find the keys were clear but might have been tricky in the dark - bring a torch!

Pros: The location and the condition of the premises were really exceptional. A great few days holiday really memorable and couldn't fault the stay at all. A home away from home, and we will try to book here in the future when we come up to loch lomond.

Cons: That we came away after 3 great nights... we wish it was longer!

Perfect stay beside the loch

Pros: Well appointed and in great location - layout of the rooms were great, huge entertaining kitchen with a high spec bathroom.

Pros: Sometimes, not very often, you meet an apartment which is build and taken care for with love…

Cons: The cherry on the pie might be at bit warmer electric lightning..?

Enjoyable break.

Pros: The welcome. The location. The close proximity to restaurant and facilities.

Cons: Signage difficult to identify/locate. Best to set your satnav for Duck bay and follow the instructions provided from that point.

Highly recommended apartment

Pros: Very clean, comfortable and nice apartment - nothing was missing. Surrounding is beautiful🙂 Highly recommended
