Pros: Beautiful location staff all kind and helpful beautiful clean rooms with everything you need lovely break away definitely be back

Really enjoyed it despite my negative comments. Would stay again. Just wish same hotel was further into countryside. But

Pros: It’s a lovely hotel but I felt it was slightly in the wrong location!! I know there’s not much you can do about that, but I felt like that hotel should be in the heart of the country somewhere - maybe a highland estate or something! Everything else was great!! Food fantastic, great drinks, lovely and quiet (just what we wanted) staff fantastic and friendly; from that aspect, couldn’t fault it!!

Cons: Felt a bit like a motorway motel as it’s so close to motorway and main road.

Nice getaway

Pros: Everything was just lovely, the hotel was just a great wee getaway. Would definitely recommend. The food was excellent and the staff were warm and friendly

Beautiful, quirky and clean

Pros: The hotel was immaculate, the cleanliness standard is fantastic, the staff are very attentive and friendly. We had a lovely time.

We had a good stay and would return to the hotel in future

Pros: The hotel was stunning from the outside, room was nice. Well furnished. A dirty mark on bedding but otherwise clean.

Cons: There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property itself but one thing I was disappointed in was the service when they failed to respond to my email.

A nice place to stay but wasn't impressed with the food.

Pros: It was a lovely hotel. Seemed very clean and well kept. Our room was nice (minnehaha 101), bed very comfortable. Most of the staff came across as nice and friendly.

Cons: At dinner both our mains of braised ox cheek were stone cold in the middle and were sent back. Assumed it would have been cooked fresh for that evening but had obviously been frozen and reheated poorly in either a bain-marie or a microwave. Not really worth the price of the meal. My husband was worried about food poisoning after as had initially taken a bite as well. Spoilt the evening a bit. I re-ordered and got chicken after that, thankfully cooked properly but he just left his. Barely got an apology from the senior staff member that took the ox cheeks away and he never bothered to check if we were happy with the 2nd main. The young waiter however that took over our table and then served us in the bar later was really lovely though. At breakfast, we had to wait about 10 minutes before getting the attention of a member of staff to actually ask for coffee and a menu. The coffee was really bitter and the portion size for a full cooked breakfast left something to be desired. Breakfast is between 8am-10am but checkout is 10am. Seems a bit silly as you have to chuck your breakfast down your neck to check out on time or pay extra for another hour for late checkout. Better checkout time would be 10.30am.
