Pros: Owner Ann is amazing host. Warm welcome and very helpful 😀 room was nice and warm. Clean and tidy. Cat and parrot are very friendly so if you are animal friendly this place is for you. 15minuts drive to airport. Restaurants near by.

A welcoming stay in a house full of homely character.

Pros: I can’t thank Anne enough for accommodating me for the weekend! This was the exact home away from home experience i was looking for - I wish i had some more time to spend there! The African Grey and sweet cat were the highlight of my stay, along with Anne and her son! They were all so welcoming, lovely and friendly to be around. The room was spacious with a large TV and window with private view, the onstreet parking felt safe and trustworthy. Location was absolutely spot on. 15 minute walk to the train station, 10 minute drive from the airport, the beautiful views of the bridges from the front of the building. It was the ideal spot, a home full of character at an extremely affordable price.

Cons: I had absolutely no issues whatsoever, and was sad to see some of the negative reviews! For other guests: If you are precious about your sleep and need a long silent lie in bed, this stay may not be for you. The parrot loves to make noise, as they usually do :P I needed to be awake early each day, so this it was very handy that the parrot will make sure you are awake in the morning! As mentioned, some may not love this.

Convenient and charming

Pros: Fantastic communication from the host, Anne is lovely, very friendly and helpful. I was welcomed by the personable cat and the parrot. Room is spacious and comfortable, everything is clean, and tidy with lots of charm. The location is perfect for catching an early morning flight, especially if you are travelling from the North.

Very enjoyable stay with parrot Maisy. People wo don't like anymals should stay away, though.

Cons: There was only one bathroom for the family and us, but that was kept very clean so it wasn't really any problem.

A cool unique vibe, ideal for travellers who want accommodation with human (and animal) connection.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Anne, Houston, Macy & Leo!

Pros: I knew as soon as I heard Anne's voice from the top of the stairs that I was going to have a lovely stay. Anne is a warm, caring soul eager to fulfil all your wishes. Her place is neat and tidy and so close to the Forth River Bridges.

Cons: I wish it were a bit closer to the nearest bus stop from the train station. Pulling a suitcase and lugging baggage on your shoulders is difficult going uphill! Not her fault!

Friendly, clean and excellent location.

Pros: Beautiful location and fairly close to Edinburgh. Our host was very helpful and kind. Lovely view, from the kitchen window, of Forth Bridge. Quiet. Close to shops etc.

Cons: Struggled to find the property as it was not very well marked. Had to ask a neighbour where number 60 was.

Pros: It was most convenient for overnight stay prior to an early flight from Edinburgh.

Lovely, clean bedroom in family home

Pros: Loved this stay! Great location travelling from the Highlands to airport. Close to airport shuttle bus. South Queensferry is a lovely destination worth more time. A warm welcome from the host. Comfortable, spacious bedroom in a family home with shared bathroom. Good value for Edinburgh area.

Cons: Bed could be a bit more comfortable. A small thing in an otherwise perfect stay.
