the CITY- Braveheart House

Very happy with my stay - it fully met my requirements and expectations.

Pros: It met my requirements for an overnight stopover in Edinburgh within walking distance of Waverley Station. No breakfast required.

Cons: The cupboard over the sink got in the way when cleaning my teeth. Just a mirror on the wall would be better (with the cupboard elsewhere).

I love my stay and would be back to stay here if I visit Edinburgh again.

Pros: The room is clean, though a bit old-fashioned. This is totally fine considering the affordable price. The bathroom, however, has been renovated in a modern style, and the hot water works perfectly fine. The receptionist is not always at the desk but stays in the house next door and can be called using the bell. The Wi-Fi works well. A hair dryer and a kettle are provided, but bathroom amenities are not included.

Cons: The room is a bit dark, so brighter lighting might make it more comfortable. No microwave.

Pros: Warm welcoming room after a chilly day in the city . Only a short bus or a 20 min walk from the centre . Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby

Pros: Loved my stay at Ivy Guesthouse–Braveheart! The place is spotless, cozy, and budget-friendly — everything you want after a day out exploring. It’s close to public transport, and the host’s hospitality could rival a five-star hotel. I’d definitely stay again!

Cons: Needs a bit of renovation but not a bother at all.

Pros: Loved how perfect it was, only downside, we just stayed overnight and left. Not got the chance to stay for a few days to enjoy the place

Good place for a couple of days within easy reach of city.

Pros: Great position not far atall from Grassmarket and Castle, shops and some lovely cafés right on your doorstep. Room had everything we needed and good value for money. Communication with host easy/friendly.

Cons: Room was hot and we couldn't seem to turn heating down, nor did the window stay open. Otherwise all ok.
