Woodhead view

Pros: My stay at Woodhead View was excellent! The accommodation is clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary facilities. A big thanks to Mr. Stewart for his attentive service. From the pre-check-in guidance on the parking app (Pal Gate) to wait for me according to my arrival time, every detail was well taken care of. The entire check-in and stay process was smooth. A beautiful cottage wit everything you could possibly need

Pros: Stewart is an amazing host with an amazing property - everything we could think of was provided including a trip to the shops to buy essentials for our arrival so we could enjoy tea and toast after the long drive! The facilities are literally home from home, a great en-suite bath and shower room to the master bedroom upstairs, and separate shower room and toilet downstairs making the property so flexible for different types of guests. A beautiful living room, fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, outside table, chairs, sun loungers and awning and secure, gated parking completes the property. Sound bars, televisions is almost every room and distributed Sky TV mean that entertainment needs are taken care of, and easy access to the M80 and train stations at Lenzie & Croy mean that travel throughout Scotland is easy.

Cons: We didn't find anything that we would make better. Woodhead View really is a home from home with everything supplied and a great host who is super helpful.

Excellent gem

Pros: Fantastic stay, this has to be one of the best places I’ve stayed at. It’s completely stunning inside and to a very high standard. It’s got private gated entrance and private garden which is a little sun trap. Stewart the host was excellent and met me in person to hand over keys and talked me through everything. Communication was brilliant and everything was provided well in advance. Would highly recommend staying here.

This is our second year in a row and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Pros: Immaculately clean and very well presented, it’s clear the owners take great pride in their property. The beds are really comfortable and everything is finished to a high standard.

Lovely ,very well equipped for cooking and entertainment

Pros: A lovely cottage in quiet location despite being near a main road. Secure parking and a wee garden round the property. which is inside a town park. It was very well equipped and lots of lovely products in the bathroom. Also an amazing bar and generous invitations to help ourselves. The beds were large and comfortable and the shower was amazing. We were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. To top it all, the great Malkie Hannah's chanter was fixed to the wall!

Cons: Clues provided for the whereabouts of the cutlery drawer.

A lovely short stay at a fantastic property

Pros: A beautiful property which was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable beds and tastefully decorated with a high quality finish. Well equipped with everything on hand you could possibly need. Stewart was also do helpful and fantastic to deal with

Top quality accomodation in a town (and dog friendly)

Pros: High quality accomodation, all tastefully done - kitchen is top-quality, dining room is lovely, lounge and the two bedrooms are great. Dog friendly! In a town circa 30 mins from Glasgow city centre, and within 5 mins walking distance of a supermarket; and easy to get food delivered if that's your thing (we had a lovely Indian). On arrival, owner kindly said that we're welcome to try the (good quality) whisky and other spirits. Owner also said in advance, don't feel like we have to rush off at check-out (11 am), he can tidy around us; and then as it happened, on day of leaving we were snowed because of a snow storm, and so he encouraged us to stay safe, which we did by staying an extra hour in the comfy lounge.

Cons: I generally prefer to let myself in and read a welcome guide, e.g., if plans for ETA go astray as happened here - BUT owner couldn't have been kinder about it so a minor obversation, not detracting from the 10 stars

We would recommend this property highly and have no hesitation at all in returning.

Pros: Beautiful warm and inviting property. Fully furnished and very well equipped to the point that we didn’t want for anything at all. Secure parking on-site (no charge). The host Stewart was extremely helpful and a great communicator, and went above and beyond to arrange an early check in due to our early flight arrival. Stewart was there on our arrival to welcome us and to give us the tour, and very kindly invited us to help ourselves to the food and refreshments on hand. The property is centrally located and within walking distance to good pubs and restaurants. Bus stop right outside the door if you don’t have a car.

Lovely, spacious, comfortable house with very friendly host.

Pros: The house was very well-appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of space to spread out, unpack and relax. The kitchen and bathrooms were excellent and spacious.

Amazing property which feels like a true home from home.

Pros: Stewart met us at the property and made sure that we were all sorted and knew how everything worked. There were a few extras that we did not expect that Stewart had left for us, very nice touch. We felt that he went the extra mile and even phoned us to offer a late check out if we would like it. Stewart was very polite and welcoming us all to his wonderful property. Our daughter especially liked having a bath whilst watching TV. The property has been finished to a very high standard and the photos on Booking.com do not do the property justice, the property is even better in person. Anything you could possibly think you might need to bring with you is already in the property waiting for you to use it.

Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like during our stay at the property.
