Lovely to stay here
Pros: We had a wonderful stay – the cottage was fantastic: cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast in the sun with an amazing view, beautiful surroundings to have nice walks in, a good central point to explore Scotland and a cosy temporary home to come back to.
Cons: Only minor point: the shower had a rather weak stream, which made it a bit tricky to wash your hair. But that was a small issue in an otherwise perfect stay!

Comfortable, clean and well equipped, a lovely place to stay
Pros: A beautiful cottage, with lovely attention to detail, and comfortable beds. I liked the extra touches, such as the fresh flowers, and milk left in the fridge. It was exceptionally clean as well, a lovely place to stay.
Cons: Public transport links weren't great, so a car is needed. But that worked ok for us 😊.

Nice and quiet. Close to the falkirk wheel.
Pros: Large apartment on the farm, partially under another house. Free parking place in front of the apartment. Fully equipped kitchen. Washing machine and dish washer available. No separate hot and cold water taps - big plus! We enjoyed the stay and probably would come again.
Cons: You have to pay damage deposit 150 GBP upfront. At your departure you are required to place all garbage in the garbage bins and to strip all beds and place all linen and towels in the laundry bag in the bathroom. To fail to do so means 50 GBP fine. Missing powder/tablets for the washing machine. Low water pressure at the shower. 4 different outdoor garbage bins without clear explanation what put where - pls. realize foreign people know little or nothing about UK garbage filtering rules.

Sehr schönes Cottage, traumhafte Lage
Pros: Ein Cottage am Rande einer Farm, wunderschön gelegen mit Feldern und Kühen . Eine gute Küchenausstattung, der Gastgeber reagiert umgehend bei einer Frage. Ein sehr schöner Freisitz mit bequemen Gartenmöbeln.
Cons: Der Durchlauferhitzer kennt nur heiß oder kalt sehr instabil eine angenehme Duschtemperatur zu halten. Es wäre schön einen größeren Topf zu haben

Much-needed silence and tranquility found here.
Pros: It is about 8 minutes away from Falkirk, but an easy drive. I loved the quiet location...very peaceful. And I liked how the cows mooed us awake every morning! Really enjoyed the outdoor seating and the very modern kitchen with the clothes washer. Hot water and water pressure were excellent, obviously a lot of thought has gone into this place. Also, the Welcome Packet was very useful and thorough.
Cons: The photos make it look like you have a giant stone cottage to yourself, but you don't. There are neighbours directly overhead, and you can hear them walking around and talking. It's a small place, but it doesn't seem cramped due to the two bedrooms. There not a place to eat, but there is a foldable wooden table with chairs that serves the purpose. Not overly fond of having to strip the beds ourselves, but that seems to be the going thing these days. You also can't walk in the fields or along the paths like it appears you can from the pics (you're fenced in, and the paths are for bikes only). It's right on a farm, and at times it really smells like it, so just know what you're getting into!

Prachtig, heerlijke rustige omgeving en toch redelijk dichtbij Edinburgh.
Pros: Fantastische locatie, heerlijk rustig en geweldig uitzicht en alles is aanwezig.
Cons: Alles beviel uitstekend maar als tip…..zou het iets anders indelen zodat er iets meer comfortabele zitplaatsen zijn. zouden zelf een kleine uitbouw doen om een vaste eethoek te creëren.
