FINN VILLAGE "Mountain View Cottage" Private Garden

Pros: Facilities, amenities, nice views. Kate was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Loved the little shop and free range eggs.

Pros: Everything, we had the best stay, loved the honesty shop, nice touch. Lovely friendly people running this and very much to hand.

Pros: Was amazing property ! only reduced rating slightly due to issues with hot tub on our stay but was fixed quickly so no fault!

Great stay

Pros: Outside facilities were great, hot tub and gazebo were fab all outside facilities were spot on with the dart board and table football kept you entertained

Cons: although the property was great with great facilities i feel for the money the very early check out at 10am along with the 4pm check in didn’t give you much time to enjoy the night as you were thinking of getting up so early to check out yes you could request a late check out but at an extra cost so feel check out could be a bit later , also the maid was on the property at 9am to clean the hot tub so if you wanted to you couldn’t use the hot tub in the morning

Amazing location, facilities and hosts

Pros: The property location was amazing. So scenic and beautiful. Inside the property was spotless with everything you could possibly need there. Also the owners where so helpful make sure our stay was perfect

Pros: We went for a family get away with our 5 kids It was absolutely beautiful we booked very last minute so the night before they were great with communication the place was spotless and I mean spotless and absolutely beautiful ! So much space and our girls absolutely loved it we spent the night in the hot tub and in the other outdoor part we made a pizza that we got from there on site shop and made it in the pizza oven outside the WiFi even reached to the outdoor tv so we watched a lovely movie together as well It’s honestly been the best night away we have had as a family and I will definitely be booking again The staff were so friendly and welcoming it was so nice to see owner take pride and enjoy what they are doing 🩷

Cons: Nothing not to like ! Only suggestion I would make and it’s not a complaint is maybe trying to full the shop with some more dinner items we know pizza is main hit for the pizza ovens outside but maybe some kids food such as chicken nuggets ect would be useful for longer stays :) !

We had a very nice overnight stay but a few small changes could significantly improve this property

Pros: The outdoor areas were good and the hot tub was very good but see comments below to make these areas exceptional. The cottage was well set out and was well equipped and very well maintained. The remote location and views from the property were stunning.

Cons: That you had to bring your own towels and that there were not enough logs included for the outside wood burning stove, which for the overall price paid in my view should be included. There was no gas bottle to light the burner/heater in the outside area and it did get cold when the wood burner ran out of logs. The extra £100 cost for the hot tub was excessive and not value for money and this should have been included in the cost already paid. The internet should have been set up/working ready for use and the barbecue in place when we arrived but staff member quickly sorted out these minor issues.

Pros: Loved the house and the views also outside seating area was amazing . Unfortunately only there for one night so had no time to use hot tub but have never seen one that size. Looked brilliant . Will definately be there to try the hot tub next time .

Pros: Mountain View Catterwood Cottage was the perfect home from home to celebrate my sister’s 50th Birthday. Perfect location, really well equipped. The hosts have thought of everything.
