Jura - The Rusty Hut

Ideal, stunning, cosy, comfy cuddle of a place.

Pros: It was stylish, cosy, with every facility we could possibly need - attention to detail & just a lovely ‘hug of a place’ to stay in - wish we’d been able to stay longer. Stunning.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: Really nice accommodation in a beautiful spot. We felt like we were able to properly slow down and relax for the couple days we stayed. The hut is really nicely done and well equipped. Hopefully we get the chance to go back sometime.

Pros: I don't have enough words to say how brilliant this wee find was. Would have loved to gave stayed longer.

Lovely peaceful stay

Pros: Very peaceful , we loved the private garden and wood fired hot tub . It was a quirky property and we really enjoyed our stay there . Very comfortable bed . Beautifully furnished . Very clean .

Cons: Coming down the ladder from the mezzanine . Lack of storage for clothes .

A wonderful two night stay as part of our cycle tour of Arran, Islay and Jura, thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Pros: Wonderful, characterful accommodation in a magnificent setting between the mountains and the sea. We had a great time cycling up the Long Road to Barnhill, strenuous but worth it. Highlight was cooking pizza together at the hut, the oven and supplied ingredients worked perfectly. Many thanks Pi and Pixel.

Pros: I loved it all. The location was very peaceful and private, helped by the amazing weather we had. The rusty hut was better than I imagined, the place was immaculate, it had everything needed for a short break away from home.

Pros: It was quirky, cosy and gloriously peaceful. The platform bed up the ladder was bliss. Cleverly designed to make good use of a small space. Wood fired hot tub was a temptation each evening but the weather didn’t favour us this time. Kitchen facilities were spotless and had all we needed.

Cons: There wasn’t much not to like! We knew how much we would be dependent on the weather at this time of year but were lucky with the daytimes. If we’d been ‘hut bound’ with our books it would still have been great.

The perfect retreat for our time on Jura. Beautifully styled space with everything we needed.

Pros: Loved everything about this hut but the hot tub was the star of the show! Beautifully decorated inside and had everything we needed for a lovely stay on Jura. Hope to come back one day!

Pros: Maybe the best accommodation on Jura. We had a great time in The Rusty Hut, and Pi is a very helpful and caring host.
