The Bothy Claymires Loch Lomond & Stirling

Excellent stay if you're looking for real time away but close enough to many attractions.

Pros: Excellent communication from host, all instructions clearly delivered before arrival. The property is very well kitted and maintainded in lovely decor. The wood burner is a great addition. Everything to make a comfortable stay was provided.

Cons: It would've been perfect if one could not hear the passing traffic. Although not a very busy road, it can be heard. Perhaps unavoidable as the property is close to the road.

Pros: Location, ambiance, cosy log fire, easy reach of good walking areas easy reach of good restaurants and local shopping. Graham was friendly and helpful, parking was very useful, thank you for letting me park my wee trailer. Option of two beds we chose the bed settee option, a little harder than we would like but easier if needing to use the facilities at night, especially after partaking of the wee gifts of chocs and prosecco :-)

Cons: Cold floor, however the slippers were fabulous and fantastic dressing gowns or bath robes or whatever you call them. We didn’t like leaving!! Wanted to stay longer.

I had a lovely stay, but unfortunately having dogs with me and not being able to walk was a bit of a hindrance.

Pros: It was compact but still had all the facilities. It had a small glenn behind it which was just nice for the dogs.

Cons: The steps up to the bed was something to get used to. There was not so much light coming in. There was no ability to have a walk with the dogs from the cottage.

Pros: The bothy had absolutely everything you would need it was the perfect place for a quiet few nights to get away with lots of things to do and places to see nearby in a stunning area. We had the most relaxing time! The fire was amazing and i especially loved the garden and the glen such a cute wee place would 100% return (didn’t want tot leave actually) 🤣

Beautiful and cosy

Pros: Such a beautiful place to stay. Would highly recommend here. It was absolutely spotless and they have thought of everything. Beds were really comfortable and the lovely fire kept us warm and cosy with the huge basket of logs that were there. The layout is so well thought out and we found was perfect for 3 of us and our 2 small dogs.

Cons: I can't say there was anything I didn't like as i couldn't find any faults and would definitely book again

Pros: Very sweet and cozy. Fully equipped for preparing small meals.

Pros: Out in countryside but not too far from amenities Loved the cottage as it had everything you needed although could have a floor brush rather than small dustpan/brush set. Loved mezzanine but defo not for anyone with mobility issues. We brought own supplies such as coffee etc but this was all within the cottage. Loved the bottle of prosecco 😊 great wee break for relaxation

Pros: We had everything we needed in the bothy, looked small from the outside but big inside

Cons: I couldn't go upstairs to the bed as it was higher up than it looked on photos, so I slept on the sofa bed. Unfortunately my husband couldn't sleep on the sofa bed as he was very uncomfortable so he slept in the bed.

Great weekend in a cosy Bothy

Pros: Fantastic stay at the Private Cottage Bothy. Lovely cosy Bothy which is well equipped with all your needs both in the kitchen and bathroom. We had a lovely two day stay whilst attending a friends wedding and hope to be able to return to explore the Glen and enjoy the Bothy more another trip.

Cons: Nothing the Bothy was as described, communication was excellent.

Pros: Everything about the bothy is absolutely brilliant, from location to accessibility not to mention the cleanliness This is all nothing compared to the simplistic, quirky and beautiful decorated interior with a beautiful log burner fire which we enjoyed and all materials provided and arranged ready for our arrival Couldn’t recommend this place enough although hope that doesn’t come back to bite us when we look to rebook!!
