Excellent accommodation

Pros: Beautiful quiet location but within walking distance of Brodick. Felt like home from home Everything you could want and more for a perfect stay

Feels like a second home

Pros: Great location, fantastic accommodation and friendly hosts. It feels like a second home to us after three wonderful stays here.

Pros: Clean, well equipped, spacious, comfortable bed. Lovely quiet location but only 10-15 mins walk to places to eat and shop. Great to have somewhere to sit out and enjoy the sun.

Cons: No significant negatives to report. Perhaps a little more information for guests about the facilities in the property? Also, in the tradition of lots of holiday houses, the shower head needs fixed to stop it sliding down the pole!!

An extraordinarily good place to stay and discover the island

Pros: Meticulously clean, provided with absolutely everything, spacious and bright bathroom, very large bedroom with comfy bed, great vista towards the hills, quiet and tranquil as can be ! Easy walking distance to coastal path and Brodick

Cons: Striving hard to find a minus: the sitting-room isn’t well lit by natural light

Home from home

Pros: Solitude and peaceful. Modern and cosy. Great facilities amidst spectacular countryside.

Arran turned out to be a miniature version of Scotland, breath-taking views and walks in abundance.

Pros: The location was exceptionally quiet and unspoilt by any external lights at night. We required a pair of cables for electrical equipment we had inadvertently left at home. Our host turned up at the front door with an offer to loan if we required however we had already purchased replacements. A very enjoyable and restful week, just what we needed. Various Hotels and eateries dotted over the island with a very good one up the lane from our accommodation. Walks and hiking readily available for all abilities.

Cons: Information for local facilities and hospitality would have been welcome.

Cosy, comfortable and clean

Pros: Clean, comfortable, all the facilities you could need and then some. Incredibly comfortable bed and lots of space in the whole cottage. Hosts are really lovely and helpful but leave you to enjoy the peace and surroundings. A home from home.

Cons: Nothing - all brilliant

A Peaceful Break

Pros: Excellent location, friendly hosts and the cottage is really well equipped. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Close to the ferry terminal, ideal base for exploring the island. Peaceful and quiet, there were lots of birds in the garden, including a really cheeky chicken who peered in the door every morning to remind us to feed her. We enjoyed watching the red squirrel raiding the bird feeders.

Cons: Stairs to the bedroom are a bit steep for anyone with mobility problems, a slight problem during the night as the only bathroom is on the ground floor.

Pros: Quiet location with sheltered patio. Bird feeder that attracted a great variety of birds.

An excellent base from which to explore this beautiful island. Walks to suit all abilities. Would hope to return.

Cons: Downstairs room rather dark, hand rail in bath/shower would be welcomed, shower bracket needs attention, lack of information re rubbish disposal (every place is different)
