Pros: Booked this last minute and so glad I did, cosy wee rooms with outdoor seating as well. Nice view and the lady was lovely. Was minutes drive from the port, shop and pubs close by too.

Cons: Minor thing that the toilet door hit off the towel rail but nothing major.

Great value friendly host close to everything you need

Pros: Great little place to stay close to everything you need and a short walk to the ferry. Christine is lovely and her breakfast was plentiful ready for our day of walking ahead. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden at the end of the day it was a lovely sunny spot. We even had access to a fridge which was perfect for storing our Arran cheese. Perfect for those looking for simple friendly clean accommodation it was great value thank you Christine

Pros: The location was perfect.1min drive from.ferry. large parking area in front of cottage. Very old world but to be expected in old property. The host Charlotte supplied an excellent breakfast which covered everything from yogurt to full English. Ideal for those with walking difficulties.

Cons: Going for a meal in Douglas Hotel and surrounded by dogs while eating. I have asthma and dog fur is a trigger..I didn't expect dogs in an expensive resturant..No complaints about food.

Pros: Breakfast excellent. Beds very comfortable. A lot of work being done to upgrade. Well worth a stay for what it costs

Pros: Firstly the owner of the property is a very lovely lady. Warm welcoming and no restrictions in going out or coming in. Location is a highlight near to the ferry and awesome scenery. The lodge is very homely just felt like being at home. Place is safe,quiet and cozy. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Ideal location and nice place to stay

Pros: Ideal location for coming off the ferry. Comfy bed and great breakfast

Cons: Not much really. It’s an old building and a bit tired but it was clean in the important bits. Shower extractor fan didn’t work and the lights need replacing in the shower but those are small things and wouldn’t stop me staying there again
