Relaxing and enjoyable

Pros: Spacious, comfortable, quiet. Lovely decor and we were made to feel very welcome by our hostess, Theresa.

A delightful stay

Pros: This is a beautiful property where the owners have put a lot of care and thought into the furnishings. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully cooked and locally sourced. Red squirrels scampering amongst the cars. Would stay here again.

Cons: I cannot complain about our stay. Though the house is by the road, that road is quiet at night.

Pros: We loved the location. It’s a bit out of the way but it’s a lovely area. We absolutely loved the property. It is old and downstairs in particular, the decor and furnishings are amazing.. old but beautiful. Excellent facilities. Silver service at the table was a bit of a treat. Theresa is a lovely, welcoming host. If you want something a bit different, somewhere relaxing and welcoming then go.

Great place to stay

Pros: Everything was great. Lovely isolated location, and Theresa was the perfect host. Nice room, nice bed, lovely posh bathroom. Also really enjoyed the communal breakfast experience, where we had a chance to chat to order travellers too. Can't fault it

Teresa is a brilliant hostess making our stay relaxing and most enjoyable.

Pros: Superb location amongst the hills, beautiful countryside. Breakfasts delicious. Comfortable well appointed lounge to relax in, décor and facilities in the en-suite room highly recommended.

Cons: Didn't want to leave.

Relaxing stay

Pros: Breakfast was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked, and available for any dietary requirements. The cutlery, the plates, the cups, and all the table decorations and crockery were fit for a king. Theresa has an amazing attention to detail and a great sense of style in furniture and furnishings. She is very friendly and welcoming. I loved the rocking chair in my room, right in front of the window. I was able to sit and enjoy the view, listening to the birds and the rain. We also enjoyed the complimentary whisky left on the coffee table in the living room in the evening. The tea and coffee tray in the room was fantastic. I enjoyed the little detail, such as fresh milk in a flask. We pre-ordered a charcuterie and cheese board, which was delicious and enough for two greedy people :)

Gorgeous home away from home.

Pros: Theresa welcomed us to her beautiful home and it was perfection. The decor was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed meeting Angus the cockapoo. We would highly recommend staying here and were very sad to leave.

Cons: Nothing, could not fault it.
