The Old School

Loved The Old School and all of the Isle of Mull

Pros: Heather was so helpful from the outset until the end of our stay. Loved the apartment, a lot of attention to detail and extremely comfortable.

Cons: Absolutely nothing ❤️❤️

Pros: The location was great, and the cottage was only about 15 mins to ferry. The cottage was comfortable and warm when we arrived and was equipped with all the things we needed for day to day living. Off-street parking was great, and being able to do some washing and have a drying rack was a bonus.

Cons: Leaving clear instructions on what we needed to do. There was a note left from the host, but we were unsure of what we needed to do with the bins.

A delightful stay.

Beautiful, well-appointed two bedroom apartment in Salen

Pros: A really beautiful, well-appointed two bedroom apartment in the heart of the scenic Salen on Mull. Close to the great Salen Hotel, a Spar, a filling station for the car, and in a great location halfway between Craignure and Tobermory. The property is spotless and cosy, with a woodburning stove stocked with wood for colder nights. The beds are comfy, and the setting is peaceful and relaxing. Oh, and how could I forget: there's a bakery that does incredible cakes and pastries literally one door down. Amazing place!

Cons: Can't think of a single thing we were disappointed with.

Excellent place to explore Mull

Pros: Dog friendly spacious accommodation. The kids loved the sheep down the field called Geoffrey and the swings.

Great spacious apartment!

Pros: We stayed in the Teacher’s Apartment. Very clean and spacious, good kitchen (everything you need is there), living room with open fire, plus parking on premises. The owners are easy to reach (live next door). The town itself is small, but has a well-stocked supermarket and is a convenient point for exploring the stunning Isle of Mull. There is a hotel with restaurant next to the Old School. The food is average, but staff is very kind and we had a great evening loosing from the locals in quiz night!

Cons: The shower is a bit small (not suitable for obese or very tall people) and like many British houses it’s electric which makes it a bit hard to adjust in temperture and not adjustable in pressure…but hey, who’s complaining. It’s 5 minutes of your day!

Excellent accommodation in a good location. Felt it was expensive but I think that is Mull

convenient & comfortable

Pros: The property is located in Salen ., literally in the middle of east coast of the island of Mull. This was a good location for us as we wished to visit both the north & south of the island. The property was comfortable & well fitted out for self catering. A helpful, responsive host.

Cons: Clothes dryer not available. Striping beds on departure?
