JOIVY Contemporary Flat in the New Town

Comfortable, clean, homely apartment in fabulous location.

Pros: The apartment was very spacious. The apartment was furnished like a home rather than a rental property which we really appreciated. The view from the sitting room and kitchen across the park and the Firth of Forth in the distance was a bonus.

Cons: This is really minor and not a complaint but merely a suggestion. Some additional lighting above/adjacent to the bathroom sink would have been appreciated.

A peaceful, spaceous flat in the city center.

Pros: Fantastic location in the center of Edinburgh. The apartment has all the amenities needed for both shorter and longer stays. We had some challenges with the heating controls at first, but they were resolved by referring to the apartment's manual. Queen Street is a five-lane road, and traffic noise could be heard, but it wasn't bothersome and certainly not disturbing in the bedrooms, which are located away from the street. The questions we had during our stay were answered quickly and accurately by Joivy's top-notch professional staff.

Cons: Nothing.

I can summarise my stay with one word - AMAZING!!!

Pros: Amazing… thoroughly enjoyed… great customer service, flat is amazing, a touch of luxury makes you feel special, Great location…. My wife and the little one loved the property, I can easily say that it was my favourite booking in Edinburgh… Compliments to the company and the staff who kept very high standards

Cons: If I have to be very critical and picky - I would probably say the carpets need a bit of cleaning ( it is a feedback for the company to improve on) which didn’t really bother me personally but it is important for families with toddlers. Perhaps the property can do with a newer Kettle in case if the management missed it.

Pros: The location is excellent, in Edinburgh New Town, about 10 minutes walk from the train station. The flat was very large, much larger than expected from the pictures and beautifully decorated in a style I really liked. The living room was also large with a beautiful view from the window. (as pictures showed) The flat provided a very detailed check-in guide and neighbourhood description, as well as a link to luggage storage and pick-up service, which was very detailed and thoughtful. The flat was cleaned very well and highly recommended.

Cons: The flat floor is on the 3rd floor, there is no lift and you have to walk up a lot of steps to get your luggage up. This did not detract very much from the overall experience.

Once the technical issues were sorted out we really enjoyed our stay .

Pros: Comfortable.Had decent shower. Well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. The apartment was warm once we got the heating working. Wifi worked well.

Cons: We had problems with the heating as we were not familiar with the Nest system and the problem was compounded by it not working properly in the first place. There was confusion when we contacted the support desk . The first operator had a strong accent which made communication difficult as, not knowing what or where the (3) different Nest devices were , we found ourselves talking at cross purposes . She went off the line to get assistance and did not call back at all. The second operator was much more helpful and reassuring and she arranged for a technician to come over the following day. The manual provided was sketchy and the photos of the boiler were not the same as the boiler in our apartment. The Nest devices were not clearly defined in the manual at all. It felt like we were expected to take a course on the Nest system prior to our arrival just to get the heating on. Also, the remote control for the main bedroom was missing. It would be helpful if everything was working and checked before the clients arrive.

Pros: La comodidad,la limpieza y la ubicación.Excelente.

Cons: Nada.Todo fue genial.

Besides the few minor problems it was a lovely experience!

Pros: Excellent location. Pleasant and pretty decoration. Staff very polite and helpful.

Cons: Problem with internet router. Notified staff but they never fixed problem. Staff needed to check dryer as no one had cleaned out the filter. Absolutely filthy. Toilet seat needed to be fixed as the bolts needed tightening.

Magnifique appartement très bien placé

Pros: Emplacement parfait, appartement extrêmement calme. Vue sur la verdure du parc. L’appartement est tres vaste, très clair, très agréable et confortable. Parfaitement propre.

Cons: Manque d’explications pour l’arrivée et véritable jeu de piste pour trouver les clés et la porte de l’appartement… malgré les trop nombreux mails reçus de la société. Heureusement la hotline répond. Par ailleurs produits de douche très limités

Apartae

Pros: El apartamento es muy amplio, luminoso , cómodo y con vistas a un parque. Está bien equipado y está muy bien situado .

Cons: Encontrar las llaves es como jugar a la búsqueda del tesoro. Nos costó mucho encontrar el cajetín de las llaves que se encuentra detrás de una puerta verde en un lateral que no se ve a primera vista. Tuvimos que contactar telefónicamente varias veces.

Pros: Die Lage ist hervorragend. Da die Schlafräume nach hinten liegen, ist es auch ruhig. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist sehr klein. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung schön. Das Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt wohl für ganz Edinburgh nicht.
