JOIVY Stylish Flat in New Town

Fabulous property, spacious and so close to all amenities

Pros: Very close to all places of interest. Fabulous layout, very modern and clean. Every amenity thought of

Cons: Nil

We had a really good stay. Lovely flat. Comfy beds. All the facilities, that we needed.

Pros: The flat was lovely with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, where one bathroom was connected to one bedroom. All in all very nice, and we really want to stay there another time:)

Cons: It was unfortunate, that we had to wait ours before the key arrived. The lock box was empty, and the Joivy team had to get a locksmith to change the lock.

Great location, very comfortable appartements.

Pros: Great location. Nice beds. Two bathrooms. Everyting Walking distance.

Cons: Stairs, and only 1 key which is not practical with 4 people. Coffee machine needs special Nespresso cups (large ones), so we had to go to a Nespresso shop.

Great visit to Edinburgh, great base, clean & comfortable

Pros: Very good 2 bed property, great location, apartment really very good.

Cons: Main en-suite shower head doesn’t sit in properly, so it only points away from you & soaks the floor - needs fixing. WiFi doesn’t connect, when it does it drops off - needs replacing with something that has better signal & connectivity. TV doesn’t work, no signal, picture, channels, etc - needs fixing.

Once in the flat it was lovely

Pros: It was self catering, but the coffee shops near by were excellent

Cons: Booking. Com was not helpful, they sent a diary alert, and a map which had an incomplete address, we were in the right street, but they put the flat number and not the street number. It took a couple of phone calls to get the correct address and correct code number to collect the key. This all took an hour with heavy luggage.

Pros: The apartment was spacious and well designed. Kitchen has everything you will need. Location is in the new town with many restaurants and shopping available. Old town is just a 15 min walk away. Train is about 10 mins walk away.

Cons: Have to carry your luggage up almost 3 storeys. No lift. There was a strong sewer smell coming from the master bathroom which we could not get rid of despite instructions from management to run warm water with soap for a few minutes. We had to keep the door shut with towels covering the gap on the floor to keep the smell from entering the bedroom. It was Christmas so no one was able to come and fix it.

Pros: Everything! Beautiful apartment in ideal location.

Cons: There isn’t anything not to like.

Pros: Location-it is close to literally everything we walked every day, never used transportation. Apartment is just like the photos, fully equipped, very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, bright, stylish and very spacious. Communication about the check in/check out and apartment info was very detailed and clear with helpful photos.

Cons: We loved everything and if we have to choose something that did not harmonise with the apartment vibe, this would be the building entrance. It was not clean and the carpet was smelly all the time (in a bad way). Also the stairs, though they have a carpet so that they are not slippery , they are old and in some point they do have a downward inclination that can be a bit tricky especially when you are carrying luggage. We were aware that there are stairs so we were prepared. Nothing that would keep us from staying there again 😀.

Wonderful time

Pros: cozy apartment and everything inside is perfect as the photos show. And the location is so great.walking distance to anywhere

Cons: help guests with luggage. The stairs are so steep to any family who are old or all women. It is really tough point.

Pleasant appartment of high quality and modern style

Pros: very central location - short walking distance to most facilities and locations of interest. Pubs, restaurants and take-away facilities all nearby after a long day walking around. Some issue with locating the keyboxes, and finding the correct door - as maplink in resevation was misplaced on wrong adress.

Cons: Which keybox to use the given code at, was not instructed. Had to try the code on several boxes before finding the correct one. They where numbered, so it should be easy to give this in the instructions of how to access the apartment.
