Couston Lakes Resorts

Pros: It was peaceful, relaxing just bliss, we were the only people there , the houseboat was perfect no issues with it, view was absolutely beautiful, along with all the little swans, deer, rabbits and different kinds of birds.

Great definitely going back.

Pros: Great communication with staff. Contact with myself before I arrived to give all information before I got there. Very appropriated.

So quiet & relaxing

Pros: Very secluded for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Next time we’ll take our wetsuits as too cold to go kayaking/open water swimming in late October. On arrival (9pm) the heating was playing up in the lounge/diner of the two bed cabin but Maria arranged for Gordon to pop over to the rescue straight away to ensure we were warm and cosy 😁

Amazing!!

Pros: Very relaxing and quiet just whats needed. Boat is lovely and the seat area makes it better. Swans and wild life on lakes were amazing to chill and watch.

Short overnight stay

Pros: I love the remoteness peace tranquility and being at one with nature of this place. Again remote but not too far from local amenities of Bathgate . This time I stayed in the houseboat although the sun loungers on the upper deck were no longer there ?? We only stayed one night though but if staying longer this may have been an issue given the good weather . Easy check in via lockbox and great remote contact by host . Tv in houseboats are very small . Larger screen in mod pods . Wall to wall windows but blinds ceiling to floor for privacy . Comfortable beds . Eco friendly toilet and shower supplied by water tank which lasts 48 hours so you have to be frugal with use . However no issues with hosts on prior occasion when refilling tank . Small wardrobe for clothing . On a lake - Swans and ducks in lake swim up to boats

Cons: No complaints ! Could be a bit claustrophobic for 4 people - even 2 adults and 2 children . I would advise 2 units for 4 people ( although this makes things a bit more costly )or the 2 bedroomed accommodation .

Super relaxing clean and cosy

Pros: It was very relaxing and peaceful just what we needed . Wish we could have stayed for two nights as didn’t want to leave but commitments wouldn’t allow

Best Wee Hidden Gem

Pros: This wee place is a hidden gem, so unique & tucked away....Feels like you are miles away from the world! Loved everything about it! We will definitely be back
