Pros: Really lovely accommodation, everything done to a high standard. Loved the heated flooring and the hot tub. Great outside space as well although we couldn't use most of it as everywhere was covered in snow. But then the snow made for a beautiful weekend. Not loads of space for a family of four and a large dog, but perfect for two nights and to enjoy the surroundings. Owners incredibly helpful and let us meet the animals and use one of the fields for sledging.

Cons: The only thing missing is coat hooks

Cosy, comfortable hut in a gorgeous location

Pros: Really enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. Well equipped with quality bedding, towels and furniture.

Cons: A coat hook would have been useful, otherwise everything was great!

Great Little Getaway

Pros: Very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We loved using the hot tub under the stars even though temperatures were very low outside.

A luxurious country stay in a beautiful, location conveniently situated close to many walks, pretty towns and Edinburgh!

Pros: Beautiful location with high spec fittings. The beds were very comfortable! The outdoor spa, barbecue and fire pit was an added bonus!

Cons: It was a little bit small for three adults. However, in warmer weather, you would use the outside area for sitting and eating.

Pros: Fantastic stay at Pentland Shepherd Huts. The hut was cosy, spotless, and set in a beautiful peaceful location. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful at any time — nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and we would love to return.

An amazing one night stay

Pros: Location was so ideal to explore the Pentland Hills - great walking and running trails. The hut was so peaceful, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. It had lovely Christmas touches outside the hut and owners were so generous in leaving some milk/food supplies for on arrival. The hot tub was also an amazing addition and a special treat, especially as the stars were all out.

Cons: We had a really great stay, wish we could have stayed for longer. The only thing I would advise people is that if your heating up the hot tub yourselves it takes quite a while until it reaches the best temperature (but they do kindly offer pre-heating the tub before you get there for a price which you can do).

Pros: Peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life

Pros: The stunning views, how accommodating & quick to reply the owners were, location from edinburgh, the beautiful horses, sheep & goats, the information provided which made everything very easy.

Pros: A fantastic stay made even better by such great hosts Lyn and Simon. Warm and welcoming from the moment I got there. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back.
