Absolutely amazing place, had everything we needed. would reccomend to anyone!

Pros: Lovely location, Very quiet and relaxing. The bungalow is ideal for someone wanting a place to spend time in and relax.

Cons: This place is ideal if you have a car to travel the island, if you’re on foot and want to get to the main parts of the island the taxi fairs will add up (expect £35-£70 from here to lamlash/brodick) I only paid the taxi twice as we went for a meal so I can’t complain!

Pros: Beautifully restored cottage with everything you could need and perfectly peaceful spot. Best shower ever. Very convenient location for exploring the island. Loved the honeysuckle on the fence near the kitchen window. Great view of visiting sparrows.

Cons: Only two things weren't perfect. We would have preferred a slightly softer bed and the hood of the extractor fan above the cooker is set so low my partner kept hitting his head on it.

Perfect cottage for the perfect stay

Pros: The cottage was perfect for what we needed. It was central on the island and everything we wanted to do was within reach. Upon arriving we were greeted with accommodation that was spotless and it felt so homely. Will definitely be booking again in the future.

Cons: Nothing. Property was perfect for our stay.

A self-catering gem

Pros: Wonderfully well appointed, spacious for two, with lots of great details, including a very comfortable mattress! Local, fresh milk and other produce nearby. Great weather also helped.

A comfortable cottage in a great location

Pros: The cottage was in a lovely location and had excellent facilities. Everything was clean and worked. The property was open when I arrived and I just had to leave the doors unlocked when I left.

Cons: I am in my late sixties and don't have a smartphone. I checked my email at home before leaving and there was no messages about the property - they arrived after I left. Luckily the cottage was open and the owner lived across the road so there was no problem. Travelnest, please don't assume that everyone is permanently on line. Not being on line is one of the pleasures of going on holiday.

Wonderful—in every way!

Pros: I loved this cottage! I’ve cycled around the world and stayed at thousands of places and this is one of the best. Charming. Well decorated. Spotless clean. Great kitchen. Comfy bed. Nice outdoor spaces. Obviously cared for and maintained with love. I loved it! Thank you. Michael Himes
