Comfortable, well equipped proper house, perfect base for exploring the Glencoe-Fort William area
Pros: A great base for exploring the Glencoe, Fort William area. Comfortable, well furnished and equipped, good shower, comfortable beds and plenty of space in kitchen and lounge area. Microwave, coffee maker, toaster, full oven and hob. Good shower and bath. Blackout lined curtains with additional pull down blind, but in summer would probably still let a little light in. Not an issue in winter when we went. Easy parking right by the door. Short drive to supermarkets and petrol station and cafes. Wifi was good enough to stream TV but if too many devices were on, it started to break up a bit. House was very warm and easy Hive thermostat to control. Quiet location, no neighbour noise. Very welcoming and relaxing vibe. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Could use a light outside by the door, motion activated, to assist those arriving and leaving in the dark which is most everyone in the winter months. There was a small stone on the doorstep painted 'Pebble Nook' but not easy to see when trying to find the place. Better signage on the house, at the turnings on the main road and along the track would have been helpful - the main sign by the main road was covered in dirt and obscured with brambles. There is a bright red sign for Snowberry Cottage at the turning which is more easily seen that the one for Ardrhu house. We had difficulty following the instructions in the dark. Instructions to 'follow the road to the loch' didn't help when it was so dark we couldn't see the loch and the road had a fork in it and we weren't sure which way to go. '5 Ardrhu Cottage' in Google maps will help you find it and that's how we found it in the end. For additional reference the WhatThreeWords location for the house is arrive.strutting.generally.

Lovely location for a break near Loch Linnhe
Pros: Beautiful location opposite the loch. Friendly neighbours too. Great for exploring Fort William, Glencoe and the surrounding areas.
Cons: The twin beds mattresses were a bit springy, the picture in the master bedroom fell off the wall, thankfully when we were not in bed. It could have landed on our heads. Also it would have been useful to have fans as very warm in summer months and difficult to open windows fully with midges.
