Cologin’s chalets, lodges and private houses offer attractive self-catering accommodation in the Highlands, less than 3 miles from Oban on Scotland’s west coast. Surrounded by the green hills of picturesque Lerags Glen, there is free parking and a country pub on site. All of the non-smoking properties on this family-run farm site have fully-fitted kitchens, a dining area and a living room with a flat-screen smart TV with Freeview channels. There is free WiFi throughout all our properties. There is also free wifi in the Barn Bar where you can bring your laptop, have a coffee and do what you need to but this will only be available during the Barns opening hours. Cosy bedrooms are complemented by a bathroom with shower or bath. Towels and bed linen are supplied in the five-bedroom farmhouse, and bed linen is provided in the chalets and lodges. In addition to The Barn Bar, the site has a children’s play area, fishing loch and lots of local walks from your door step. Nearby Oban has become known as Scotland’s seafood capital, and is home to many restaurants, cafés and coffee shops. There are many small craft shops and some well-known stores, as well as ferry crossings to the Isle of Mull. Cologin Farmhouse is the only property at Cologin with a private hot tub.

Pros: Really enjoyed an absolutely excellent stay at Coligin. Everything was perfect and Katie and tge staff went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We will return in the future.

Cons: We only stayed for 2 nights but could easily have stayed longer as we were so comfortable.We found nothing we didn't like as it was all excellent from the location/ views/ walks / hospitality , didn't want to leave. Although we were travelling on to Mull we could enjoy our stay even longer

Pros: Nice quiet location. Handy to visit many locations. Extremely comfortable and warm accommodation.

Cons: Barn bar was on Winter opening days rota .

WE LOVED OUR STAY AT COLOGIN & WOULD HAPPILY RETURN

Pros: Loved the location, the Barn was great to have on the doorstep too!

Cons: The brown bath water was slightly off putting, but tasted fine & was totally safe.

Lovely Lodges in a great location.

Pros: Lovely place to stay, well situated for Oban and the western isles. Lodges are really clean and check in was a breeze as communication from the owners was brilliant. Didn't get to sample the bar but it looked busy.

Just what the doctor ordered. :-)

Pros: The hosts were very nice, giving clear and concise instructions on location and how to get there, as well as simple guidance once we arrived. The location was perfect. A hidden little gem of a place. Peaceful, beautiful scenery with plenty local interest and walks. It was also within easy reach of countless other attractions by car. We only had a short stay, we will return for longer.

Cons: I could have had more time. As far as finding fault with the place, or the hosts, i cannot and i would venture as far as say: if this place doesn't please you, then you're looking for the wrong thing.

Weekend get away

Pros: The rural setting was amazing. The cabin had everything you could need for a self-catering stay. The dog friendly onsite pub was lovely. Good food and friendly staff.
