A true home away from home
Pros: We love the cottage, having stayed there once before. It is a true home away from home with beautiful grounds, access to a spectacular beach on Loch Tay, and lots of birds to watch feeding at the bird feeder.
Cons: There were some issues with household appliances but the owner was very hands-on trying to resolve the problem. Otherwise it would have been perfect!!

Our break away was rural, peaceful, quite central to a lot of l villages and towns, but none you could walk too due to a
Pros: It was homely, well laid out and comfortable. The views were amazing from the lodge and there was plenty garden open space to walk around with our dog. The bed and sofa were also very comfortable. There was a large garden to explore and lots of seating dotted about.
Cons: The outdoor seating area at the door was built using slats of wood, which were quite wide apart. This meant the plastic chairs had to be positioned carefully, or you’d tilt and also caused issues for my dogs feet. There was a Bluetooth speaker in the living room that would just play itself, which we eventually had to turn off at the wall, as we concluded that it was connecting to the people through the wall from us and playing their music etc. Also, although the bed was very spacious and comfortable, there was a very heavy 13.5 tog duvet on it, which meant you were overheating in the night with it being summer months.

Pros: Location, views, facilities, weather was great. Killin not too far away for supplies. Plenty to see and do for the 5 days we were there.
Cons: Dogs running around from adjacent larger accommodation, didn't bother us too much but others it may! Not sure if that is a rental or the owners.

Pros: Great location, very comfy bed.A bIt basic but everything you needed was there. Fridge door was broken and microwave wasn't checked at changeover ,as was dirty.Cooker a bit difficult to use but we worked it out .Blinds on door didn't have a pull cord so difficult to close .It was a semi detached and the neighbours were noisy. It was in an amazing location and the problems would not stop me going back .

Well-furnished lodge in an awe-inspiring part of the world
Pros: This is a well-furnished lodge with a beautiful view of Loch Tay. Clean and nicely decorated, with a babbling brook just outside. The lodge is within 10 minutes drive of Killin and a variety of mild to lengthy walks and hikes. The serenity and peacefulness of the area was sublime.
Cons: The radiators were quite difficult to turn on and off and adjust the temperature of. A set of instructions would help to make this easier.

A true home away from home!
Pros: The cabin is situated on the North-West bank of Loch Tay and has a free view down to the lake, over the backs of a flock of sheep with (in early July) cute little lambs frolicking about. The morning sun can be enjoyed either from inside (table right at the window) or from the porch (table and chairs). We were especially happy to find a bird feeder placed right in front of the cabin and a poster and book that provided the necessary information for all the different native birds! Another excellent feature is the cabin's kitchen: we did not miss a single item and all the crockery, cutlery, and pans were of high quality. Equipped like this, cooking was a pleasure! We also appreciated the numerous heaters throughout the cabin, as although July, the days and nights were rather fresh. In wintertime, this will certainly be a snug and cosy accomodation.
Cons: The constant murmuring of the beek next to the cabin may not be to everybody's liking. For those who seek real outdoor quiet, this is not the place.
