Lena House

It worked for us and it could easily be better

Pros: The house is lovely really, has lots of space downstairs for a family to be in comfortably. The neighborhood is in a quiet community and there is not much there really. There is a lidl 3 minutes away walking which is great and a lovely bakery 1 min away. We had a car so access to the city was easy.

Cons: There were a couple of things that we thought would make improve it: Provide a plug for the sink in the kitchen so you can wash up. As there is not dishwasher, you have to constantly run water to wash up. More equipment in the kitchen - extra utensils and a frying pan. The oven didn’t work which was frustrating as we are big cooks.

Good for visiting Glasgow. Property would be excellent with just a couple of tweaks.

Pros: Lena House was very clean, modern and comfortable. Good to have a washing machine. Also it was near the M74 so easy to access Central Glasgow - although there was a bus service round the corner which was straight into the centre too. Very close to a Lidl supermarket which was handy.

Cons: It was impossible for us to use the smart tv - a manual would have helped. The Wifi was intermittent and the notice in the kitchen actually gave the wrong site and password, which I had to find on the router. There were insufficient towels for the property really and the other lack was a washing up bowl or a plug for the sink so washing up could be done! Finally, the back gate was quite difficult to open and shut and we were not told about the fact that the side road which was access to Lena House was chained off on Friday for the nearby place of worship so we were effectively locked in. Had to drive carefully over the pavement to actually get out onto the proper road.

Pros: All was perfect. House are very nice and tidy. Private parking for car.

Pros: Petite maison sympa dans un quartier calme. Bien équipé.

Cons: Nous avions réservé pour 5 personnes et il n'y avait que 4 couchages. L'hôte a été incapable de nous fournir draps et couvertures pour le sofa afin d'y installer la cinquième personne. De l'incompétence ? Peut-être. De l'inefficacité ? Certainement. Du désintérêt pour les personnes hébergées ? Assurément. Dommage car l'endroit était presque parfait...
