Lovely homely stay
Pros: Old cosy cottage , with a beautiful garden !! Big high ceilings and a lovely living room , comfortable and warm with radiators , log burner should you need it in winter. Cottage everything you need with exception of a hair dryer I never found , purchased a cheap one in Boots Edinburgh £15 . Got a bit lost as Sat Nav took us to a dog kennels further down the road . Lisa the host came to our rescue and we followed her to Cottage , she also gave us great advice about getting the train into Edinburgh from Invakrithley about 20 mins away from Cottage , for the Taylor Swift Concert at Murrayfield , driving maybe 40 mins to city centre , train was fast and cheap and full Of Swifties ❤️ stop at the Haymarket and get the tram from outside of station. Thanks for the flowers , chocs and wine welcome gift Lisa. Also jasper my mini poodle loved the secure enclosed garden .
Cons: A bit remote if you want pubs etc , a short drive away .

Excellent stay in a lovely cottage.
Pros: Lovely cottage in a secluded location. Very clean and comfortable, with lots of equipment and a great garden. Hosts were very responsive and communicated effectively prior to our visit. Would stay again.
Cons: Central heating was on when we arrived, which made the house uncomfortably warm when combined with the May heatwave. Clear instructions in the guest book on how to turn it off, and openable windows which fixed the issue.

Pros: The cottage and location were fantastic, very serene and cosy. A great base for exploring the area and great nearby amenities. Hosts were excellent in communicating and very helpful throughout. It felt very much home away from home. We enjoyed the local chinese takeaway and the co-op has everything you need.
Cons: The property could benefit from some upgrades, a few bits of furniture seem a bit tired such as the sofa and armchairs in the livingroom, but on the whole nothing essential. Oil boiler is probably getting on towards needing replaced. Something to make seating outside more enticing, grass is nice but the slabbed area would be excellent for dining in the evening if a more modern picnic bench was available etc.
