Kinneil Self Catering apartments are located in a property built by Clyde shipping magnate Captain W. Buchanan in 1885. To reflect his love of the sea, all apartments have panoramic views across Lamlash Bay to Holy Isle and the Mainland beyond. Free on-site parking is also provided. The Kinneil apartments are named after the paddle steamers owned by Captain Buchanan, and each offers use of garden overlooking the bay, and a lounge area with TV/DVD player. A full-size oven, microwave and fridge are featured in the fully equipped kitchens. The property’s owners can arrange bike hire, maps for local walks and arrange transport from the ferry terminal. Native wildlife such as eagles, red deer and basking sharks can be spotted in the local area, as well as the occasional red squirrel.

Very impressed with Kinneil Self Catering

Pros: Excellent attention from Ute. Beautiful setting overlooking the sea and the Holy Island. Comfortable and large bed, large living room with lots of character. Everything we needed in kitchen. Spotlessly clean bathroom, lovely shower. You can walk easily to Lamlash where there are a selection of Restaurants and cafés.

Cons: We liked everything and we had no complaints.

The Eagle Apartment has a breathtaking view across Lamlash Bay

Pros: The Eagle Apartment is at first floor level with a wonderful sea view across Lamlash Bay. The apartment is an extension to an historic house surrounded by mature gardens. The style of the apartment has a flavour of times past. It’s only 5 minutes drive away from the ferry, nearby Lamlash is the island’s capital, spacious parking on site, the apartment is warm and clean. A coastal walk to the East soon reaches a nature conservation zone with seals, otters and sea birds. Sunrise across the bay followed by the dawn chorus are not to be missed!

Pros: Fantastic location with beautiful views, the apartment was very clean with a balcony to enjoy the stunning sea view. The host was warm and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring Arran. Would definitely visit again and can highly recommend to all
