An ideal start for our Scottish vacations
Pros: The cottage is perfectly located: in a very quiet area, but close to commodities (20 minutes from Glasgow airport, thus very convenient for late arrival, 5 minutes from grocery stores...) and interesting spots (Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, Helensburgh, Stirling...) The place is very clean, well equipped and comfortable: a remarkably optimized use of the available surface. We didn't meet Marcela, but she was very responsive and she would clearly have been there for us, should we have need it. We had a great stay and definitely recommend Whiteley's cottage !
Cons: Not something that I didn't like, but rather a notice to people who, like I do, suffer from back problems and are sensitive to the bed. The bed in cottage #3 was fairly soft, which caused back pains to me after 2 nights. This wasn't a problem nevertheless, because the convertible sofa was firm enough: I slept in the sofa bed the last 2 nights and it was perfect. Good to know if you have similar issues with soft beds...

Pros: We only spent a night in there but still it was really nice and comfy.very tidy cottage with all necessary things. Marcela was a good host, making sure everything is OK and gave us proper directions to reach the property.I would recommend this place for a cosy stay.
Cons: Nothing really everything was perfect

Perfectly pleasant and serene
Pros: Private, v quite and clean… horses in the paddock, v near the lake
Cons: Cloths Storage space for a 4 night stay was not adequate. lack of mirror other than in bathroom. TV unavailable couple of nights due to too many using the same subscription

Very good stay overall
Pros: Small but enough for the two of us. Perfect base to travel around from. Nice, quiet surroundings.
Cons: No bottle opener for my beer! No Cork screw for my wine. Always a negative in my reviews, average amenities in the kitchen!

Beautiful stay, will look to return!
Pros: We loved the location of the property. Personally, very close to family, but also tucked away in tranquility but also a short drive to Dumbarton high street. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was lovely and hot, and the kitchen was fully equipped with an oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron/board, tea/coffee/sugar/milk, and all utensils we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
Cons: I think the property had recently been refurbished, so whilst it is beautifully fresh and clean, we felt it didn’t quite have that ‘homely’ feel just yet, but no big deal!

Great location for our needs
Pros: Not in the centre of Dumbarton which was a bonus, everything that you needed home from home, parking in front of the accommodation, within easy reach of places we wanted to visit
Cons: NothingIn particular that I would change
