Dumbarton With A View

A very clean and well equipped property with a fantastic view of an ancient castle rock.

Pros: Does what it says on the tin. Wonderful view of Dumbarton Castle and the Clyde.

Pros: House was comfortable. The view towards the castle mount and the Clyde River was lovely. We used Scotrail from Dumbarton station into Glasgow centre. Free parking near the station and only £6 return. Would have explored more by train if we had stayed longer.

Cons: Nothing.

Homely, Quiet Location, do a proper shop before arriving, once here you won’t want to leave 😌

Pros: Premises were clean, quiet, homely and cosy with easy access to a “VERY LOCAL” hotel at the bottom of the road for breakfasts and evening meals, also great location to stroll down to the banks of The Clyde River and enjoy loverly scenic walks along the shoreline and not have to worry about parking charges as car parked up at premises. Stunning views across the river and across the mountains, brilliant observation point for a good set of binoculars to watch the opposite banks of the river and see the activity of river life from the warmth of an upstairs window, or just sit and relax downstairs with a view across the valley or sit in the lounge and enjoy quiet uninterrupted peaceful down time with a book or catch up with the world and watch undisturbed TV

Pros: I really like the location and the view from the flat was beautiful.

Really nice inside, well fitted out, has a great view and a caring host.

Pros: House was really warm, comfortable and very clean. Kitchen was fully equipped and easy to use. Sofa very comfortable, bed a bit firm for my tastes.

Everything met our expectations to our full content.

Pros: Our host was extremely nice and helpful so that we would come again without hesitating.

Cons: There was nothing that could have been better.

Stunning little place

Pros: The house is absolutely amazing and the view from the frontroom window looks like it should be in a art gallery its breathtaking would definitely highly recommend this place to everyone

Pros: The place was very clean, well equipped and all in good working order. Peaceful and quiet with lovely views. There were beautiful horses in the field next to us.
